Does any JC have a policy to curb excessive time spent on CCA? My son will be entering JC2 this year. Last year, he spent too much time on his CCA because he was the captain. His results were dismal. Any JC has a policy to stop CCA activities if the captain has poor grades? Or does anyone's child also faces this issue? May have to write in to the Principal soon. :faint: :faint:
VJC has. -

NJC has similar policy as well. JC2 student will step down in June if they are holding a position in their CCA.gingerbread-man:

If I am not wrong, JC2 students will step down from June onwards to concentrate on their A levels.
it's the norm for JC students to be heavily involved in their CCA activities so don't fret.

Hey there, I was just wondering that is it wise to put a JC that is one or two points below what you have for your final L1R5 after deducting all the cut-off points that you got in your choices? I am not very sure whether to do this, help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Since you have 12 choices, I think there is no harm. The posting process is just like the Sec 1 posting - the computer will run through all your choices until it finds one where there is a vacancy before moving on to the next person. So as long as there is at least 1 choice you can get in on your list, you can be a little bit bolder in your first few choices. -

It is okay to put them in your first few choices in case there is availability or a rise in cut off points and you manage to get in but it is safer to put choices you already qualified for after them in case you are unable to get in your first few choices. -

I saw some RGS girls at RI Popular bookshop in December buying uniform. I think no need to wait. -
Hi, can someone advice me on Nanyang JC VS ACJC? Which school has a better arts stream and culture?

Hi friends, I need some help. My daughter has scored L1R5: 3points (7-4) in O level. She wants to apply ACSI for IB or Victoria for A level. Some people advised us, if we have to go overseas for university, then asked us to choose IB. But we have no plan to send overseas for degree and we will choose local university only. If we choose IB from ACSI, Do we get the same chances as A level students? Thanks in advance.

You only wear your RI uniform after the JAEs come in and you've had your orientation. But I say buy your uniform now when there's less of a queue.
