Hey there, I was just wondering that is it wise to put a JC that is one or two points below what you have for your final L1R5 after deducting all the cut-off points that you got in your choices? I am not very sure whether to do this, help would be appreciated. Thanks!

It is okay to put them in your first few choices in case there is availability or a rise in cut off points and you manage to get in but it is safer to put choices you already qualified for after them in case you are unable to get in your first few choices.

I saw some RGS girls at RI Popular bookshop in December buying uniform. I think no need to wait.

Hi, can someone advice me on Nanyang JC VS ACJC? Which school has a better arts stream and culture?

Hi friends, I need some help. My daughter has scored L1R5: 3points (7-4) in O level. She wants to apply ACSI for IB or Victoria for A level. Some people advised us, if we have to go overseas for university, then asked us to choose IB. But we have no plan to send overseas for degree and we will choose local university only. If we choose IB from ACSI, Do we get the same chances as A level students? Thanks in advance.

You only wear your RI uniform after the JAEs come in and you've had your orientation. But I say buy your uniform now when there's less of a queue. šŸ™‚

There is a grace period (but can't remember how long, maybe a couple of weeks after JAE students join?) where students can wear their sec school uniforms, including RGS uniforms, because JAE students need time to get their JC uniforms. Last year, my daughter and her classmates all arranged to switch on the same day, including their JAE classmates. But get them now before the queue builds up, especially if you are of average size (which may run out).

Should not be an issue with IB for local Uni. Other than ACSI can also consider SJI.

Thanks emoh. Does it mean that the rest of JCs like VJ, NJ, NYJC etc will be slightly easier since a new JC opens up for more vacancies?

Difficult to predict though JAE intake is quite small

                      http://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/education/get-your-tongue-around-eunoia-the-newest-jc

Eunoia JAE intake is 210 students. Only 3 were accepted via DSA. Number seems small. Perhaps not as popular. COP could be around ACJC COP ?

Last year (2016), ACJC Cut off point was 7, for both Science & Arts stream
