2024 - JC1 or MI2
2025 - Take A levels
2026 - Application to universities.
Start from students born in Year 2008, onwards.

JC intake 2024 isn't it..then the first is piggy batch?
This
Affect & impact only students born in year 2008, onwards.
Your eldest daughter, DD1, born in year 2007, is Not affected in any way -
Under the new system, the fourth content-based subject will only be counted for university admissions if it improves a candidate’s score.
What does it mean ? How will it be determined how much it is worth to be counted or not to be counted? -

I believe so. Otherwise, MOE would have briefed the principals. Secondary principals should not sit back and do nothing. Minimally, start the ball rolling by getting MOE to do a townhall zoom meeting for parents who have questions to ask and wants more explanation about this new policy.
The secondary schools personnel (and even JC personnel), are possibly reading about the changes for the first time, now. LOL!! :rotflmao:
