Does your dd have friends who are currently in the Band in ACJC? They might know how many they're taking in via appeal. You can gauge her chances better. I know last year for one of the CCAs they took in only one via appeal. But that person's results was double digit. -

Depending on what subjects he takes. Some subjects require textbooks, but most don't. Most JCs give comprehensive notes that are even better than textbooks as they are customised for the Singapore/Cambridge GCE A levels.ilovelaksa:

Do your children bring laptops to JC often?
I hvnt gotten a laptop for my son yet. He is still using an old clunky one which he rarely brings to sec sch. Am thinkg if I shld invest in a lighter one for him.
Students generally need laptops for Project Work. They may need to bring to school for group work. -
Laptops are impt for pw cos the pw work goes past waking hours into unearthly hours and they communicate via programs like Google hangout, goggle docs. Etc. So good to invest in a decent one that can perhaps last all the way to uni.

My question was if accepted the offer by AJC, but ACJC offer come in later, is it still possible to choose ACJC or have to stay in AJC?

I believe you can still take ACJC’s offer even after accepting AJC. As long as you get an acceptance form from ACJC, AJC will help facilitate the transfer. Schools understand that appeals are still being considered. -

Technically you can withdraw if a latter offer comes in. Also depends on the time frame? Aft a week's orientation, the bonding is forged whether at aj or ac. It may be difficult to leave and it may be difficult to join. Why don't you try to get an answer from ac before you confirm aj on monday ? You help minimise some admin work. -
