Hi, just curious why there is no JC in Sengkang or Punggol? My friend’s son was sharing that those living in Sengkang and Punggol will have to travel long distance to go JC.

Sengkang/Punggol is a relatively new estate. -

But the children are growing up. They need to go JC. My friend's son from VS was lamenting that VJ was too far and if only there was a JC in Punggol/Sengkang.sembgal:

Hi all,
For those parents with children that just received their A Levels results, perhaps this infographic and article might be useful in helping them choose their university course / profession!

Sad, but reality. -

Nanyang JC is more convenient as it is located just outside Lor Chuan station. Those staying Punggol or Sengkang can consider.
Serangoon JC would be the nearest, I think?
But Serangoon JC is not outside mrt station. Student has to alight at Kovan station and take a bus (3 bus stops) to Serangoon JC . -

Only 2 bus stops, I think? (My sil stays very near to SJC and I've stayed with her before). And quite a few buses so you hardly have to wait. It's also walkable - about 10 mins from the MRT station for those who don't mind walking.
