This batch of A level students will remember that they sat for the most difficult PSLE Math paper back in 2009. The examiners must be out to test them.

            Jennifer:

Should this thread be focusing on ways to assist our child to perform above average academically ?

Perhaps you can start the ball rolling - by giving suggestions?

My post is meant to call for a stop to \"debate\" the retention % in the previous posts.

I have no magic formula other than provide emotional stability and proper food to my boys, and the need to watch over ah boy like a hawk.

How can we assist our child to perform his best during the JC days?

Haha, must thank this (1997) cohort as PSLE Maths is now much easier. In fact, PSLE is getting more manageable now than previously. Or maybe the kids are getting smarter n smarter???

So perhaps A level parents must make as much noise now????

Since you bring birthyear, 1997 .. Mine was Mid-Oct born , hence at PSLE , she was behind because younger by 6 month(avg). Not so much now 18 years later..

                    That brings a suggstion....
Since singapore is finetuning education system by Investing in Pre-school programs( Give same Starting line for all Students at P1 to run race of 6 years) , it is time to consider 2 batch of cohoert for each year, Born between Jan & jun & Jul & Dec....
Offer different PSLE & even P4 streaming
