JC Rankings in Singapore based on release of A level results in Year 2021)

Ranking is based on release of results reflected in the official website of schools.
For the benefit of parents or students who would prefer to do comparison based on official results ( with verification in the respective school websites), the information displayed below would be the most accurate to gauge the standard of various JCs. Unless there are official results released in the school
website, otherwise i would exclude JCs that did not release any info in their respective website. Thank you for understanding

JC Rankings (Result release in Year 2021

            1) Hwa Chong Institution (Mean 85, 25% score UAS 90 RP)
            2) Raffles Junior College (Mean 84.5, 28% score UAS 90 RP)
            3) Victoria Junior College (Median 85, 15% score UAS 90 RP, 40% > 87.5 RP)
            4) Eunoia Junior College (Median 85, 13% score UAS 90 RP, 50% > 85 RP )
            5) Dunman High (Median 83, 40% = or > 85 RP)
            6)National Junior College (Median 83, 40% = or > 85 RP)
            7)River Valley High ( no indication of median, 30% = or > 85 RP)

(For more detailed information, please visit the respective school websites) One point to note though is traditionally, people will look at mean or median score as a gauge, but it would be good to look at other factors like how the schools fare for General Paper and Project work as this will affect the overall rank points (RP) of students for admission to unis. Let's celebrate their efforts including those schools which didn't officially released their results. Well done to all students!

JCs with no information release in their respective school website
            ACJC
            CJC
            TJC
            NYJC
            SAJC
            Anderson Serangoon JC
            Tampines Meridien JC
            Jurong Pioneer JC
            Millennia Institute

Nyjc Median 86 was shared Live by Principal, Mr Low on its FB, dated 21th.

Official news released by JCs on web site may not display the most accurate to gauge the standard of various JCs too.
            Some JCs underperformed.

We should do our research thoroughly.
            Goggle.

I am not sure how the research can be done when the JC of concern does not release more info in the public domain. Seems like the IP JCs are more transparent in the release of results statistics.

Joashhyy, no one is jealous over NYJC median score, I don’t know if you get the point but I will still try to explain… What a lot of people is trying to tell (guide) you here is that people don’t look at just one component to determine the ranking of something (for example - top airline in the world country with highest cost of living, best quality product and etc), they look at many many components to determine the end result. Anyway if you asked me, the one JC I am impressed with is DHS. Despite a drop in their performance, they were very upfront and posted the statistics on their website. This goes to show that the school celebrates the students’ every single effort. I hope you can stop harping on the median thing already (which is the only point or component you have). Like what I say, every JC is amazing in their own way. And to keep saying that other schools standard drop and slip in results and NYJC is amazing because of the 86 median , I think it is not kind to do this. What will people think of the students in this JC? So please stop already ok. Study well and chase your dreams. You have more important things to do at this age.

                Hi Parents,

Based on the info here, as well as the JAE COP for 2019, https://kungfuphysics.com/jc-cut-off-points-2019/
                - it seems like EJC did pretty well relative to NJC and VJC? In terms of IP, I would imagine post-PSLE, the IP cohorts of EJC are comparable to that of NJC and VJC. Is my interpretation wrong?

EJC has done well. However, it’s not possible to segregate IP / JAE since results aren’t presented separately. As for post-PSLE, the IP cohort of EJC (SNGS / SCGS / CHS) are definitely comparable to that of VJC (CGSS / VS) and NJC.

I have an interest in EJC because one of my kids (God-willing, if never drop out of IP) should be progressing to EJC. EJC however remains a concern to us as it is not an ‘established JC’ with a track record. Hence I am naturally curious how it is faring relative to other JCs, and hope it is doing fine. Am relieved to see that it did at least as well as NJC/VJC. Given EJC’s relatively poorer JAE intake, though we don’t know the JAE/IP performance, fortunately overall, EJC still did okay.
