So after Y4 in IP, some schools give testimonials and some schools don't? :scratchhead:

Haven't heard of any IP schools giving students testimonials after Year 4.

I may have misunderstood it when jtoh wrote the following because I think jtoh's DD is in JC1 so she wouldn't have gotten testimonial from JC yet.
        jtoh:
In my dd's secondary school, the school had a complete list of the student's achievements and no further input was required by the student.
Maybe jtoh can clarify? Thank you.

Augmum, isn't there a letter from MOE to verify that they have completed their 4 years of education in an IP school?

Yes, that one from MOE is kinda of certify completion of secondary sch education....
But, i am referring to testimonial achievements where the current discussions here are all abt...

I don't recall my dd receiving any certificate from MOE at end of Year 4. Wonderm, did your son receive an MOE cert?

\"XXX is a student offering the IP, having completed his Sec education at YY, and is now pursuing pre-uni education at the same school. ....\"

Thanks wonderm. So itโ€™s not a cert but more like a statement?

Can be considered a cert bah. Think it helps the student to explain why he/she did not have O Level cert if he/she needs that for further studies in another institution. But it is quite different from a testimonial.

I think you only get testimonial from FT at end of Year 6? I remembered my niece had one.

Donโ€™t think Year 4 will give testimonial.

Jtoh, IMO, it can be considered as a cert, not a statement...the print n the quality of the paper ๐Ÿ˜‰
Also, it includes individual name n respective school info...
