Your dd must be doing well to consider taking up H3.

I don't think so. She is just an average student. She likes to push herself to the limits n I think she is seow!!!!

Forgot to add - that is why I don't take her words seriously. So I asked for opinions here so that I can dissuade her from taking this suicidal step.

      What about yours?

Zbear, hearsay fr my gal, besides good results still req teachers' recommendation to take up 1 H3...
Anyway, she said she isnt keen to take H3, even if she qualifies...

H3 is mainly for people who can handle the H2s and H1s very comfortably and want to stretch themselves more. Hence they take on H3 subjects which may be beneficial to them (scholarships, exemption from a module in uni, etc).

Having taught H3 Math myself, getting a high A does not mean he or she is suitable for H3, as it requires a different set of thinking skills. For H2 Math one can get A by drilling but for H3 the questions are generally more unpredictable and non - conventional.

So one must ensure that the H2s and H1s are 100% sure A before considering H3.

                      For RJC,
                      2 H2 passes OR 1 H2 pass+2H1 passes
                      AND
GP/KI pass (GP and KI cannot count as any of the passes in the first criteria. So e.g. KI students have to pass H2KI and two other H2 subjects)

Just wondering, does any one know if the actual number of CIP hours accumulated in J1 & 2 are recorded in JC CCA records or will it only be a qualitative report e.g. X tutored less privileged children from the ABC Children's Home from 2013-2014? Thanks in advance.:)
