Thanks you ruohoo97 :please: . I got story to tell DS tonite.
All I need to do is embellish it a bit more and tell it in his mother tongue ( kiasu mom - must use every opportunity to use MT)
      :grphug:

aiyo, why use so small font? testing my arldy lao flower eyes?

The original story is called \"Empty Pot\", you can find it in National library.

As long as he did his best, even with a zero, is good enough. 😂

:yikes: wow !!! zero for psle is a bit at the extreme.... the lowest i have heard is 70+.... but still can go for the 5yrs NT then ITE.....

Haha, KSP, read the story first, with zero flowers, not zero in PSLE. 😂
Typical Singapore parent? See number first? Then either  or :faint:..

        :siam:

            MyBaby:

For me, a good PSLE score is when my child has put in his/her best effort. If the child has a positive learning attitude, listens in class, completes homework, do the necessarily revision and practice papers prior to examination and has given his/her best, then I, as well as my child, will be satisfied with the score.

Based on the above, I think my baby will not ever get a good PSLE score!

Nevermind, so long the child is gifted no need to study so hard or put in his/her best also can get excellent results.... :rahrah: :celebrate: right?

Sorry to disappoint you, Nebbermind, my first child did PSLE last year and got above 270.
MyBaby, your attitude is worth emulating. :salute:

I think , you misunderstood Nebbermind.

His response is a tongue-in-cheek reply to your nick. I mean he is saying \"my baby\" aka his child will not get a good score. He is kidding as his kid is a \"good\" student and will definitely be in the top 1% . And he will perhaps among the few parents who are hardly kiasu, sees achievements beyond the marks and ranks . Come to think of it , almost like you. He just likes to pretend to be funny, we usually humour him 😆

See nebbermind, I rite or note? Can see thru you, afterall you not dressed rite?

Gifted is just a label...for a mere 3 yrs. Having a good label, a branded school will open some doors. But without the right attitude, righteous character, one will only move that far beyond the door.

Actually, my kids have never done any of the underlined voluntarily, so 'best effort' is questionable. But 'best possible effort' still can qualify 😉
