      Hi

I need to travel to CCH for my child’s Wushu competition next month. Please advise if I can walk to the school from Dakota MRT? How long is the walk? Thank you.

can I ask about the use of phones in cchm? and how's today's orientation? I was hoping that the school will allow pupils to make friends and know their classes etc but it ended up only being able to buy stuff & leave :lightrod:

Phones can only be used during free time such as recess or after school. Teachers will confiscate if caught using during curriculum time. However, some teachers are less strict and will only warn the student to keep his or her phone.

can i know how much pocket money to give? Today is my boy first day in school and i gave him $3.. is that enough?

Too rush during the orientation day no time to check out the price of the food in canteen.
I think $3 is too little, about $5 should be sufficient.

My DS has graduated from CCHMS.

Handphones are acceptable in school but as one said, keep it away during lessons.

$3 is indeed too little especially for boys who have huge appetites. I give my DS $5 per day n its always not enuf.

              😄

Any ex-CCHMS student or parents whose daughter got into CCHMS 2016 through DSA using performing arts and HCL? May I know the COP? I am planning to send my daughter to CCHMS 207 through that path. Can someone share their challenges or advice on how to do it? Thanks.

I understand that CCHSM is affiliated to NYJC. My boy is currently studying in CCHSM and having a CCA but is not offered in NYJC. Can he still DSA to NYJC? Not sure whether there is any parent here who has experience in this. :thankyou:

Hi, what do you mean not offered? Your son will only apply and be offered a place in JC after O levels and I am guessing he has not completed O levels as he is currently studying in CCHMS. Yes, he may apply for DSA to NYJC with CCA and/or academic results.

The affiliation only means a minus 2 points from his O level score should he place NYJC as first or second choice in JAE application. I do not know if affiliation is considered in DSA.

Hope this helps, correct me if I'm wrong.
