2009 GEP Screening And Selection
-
Why the delay, huh? I tot one parent checked with MOE and got the reply that it wld be out end of Oct. Don't tell me MOE is overwhelmed by this year's outstanding results?
Have to recheck the numbers, is it? Aiyah, parents know it's the Y2K Millenium Golden Dragon effect - babyboom year so, naturally more make it past the COP (altho many at MOE believe it's the positive effects from the teach less, learn more strategy :rotflmao: ). Since more smart kids, why not increase intake from 500 to 1000 leh? Election coming, hor? :celebrate:
On a serious note, I'm not pleased if they release it on Friday. My dd has a trip to the Science Centre in the morning and a quick change of bus to the Drama Centre till 6pm with her Drama Club. That means prob I would have to wait till Monday................

For all these trouble, I hope this time MOE would at least tell us our negative results.
They will still tell us which % of the cohort our child is even if not selected for GEP. -

Y2K has more students so based on the top 1%, there should be more than 500????? -
So net savvy , So why cant MOM publish results via their portal and slowly send the results via mail (the great yellow packet).
Not LOL . Just remembered the WFR in companies where the manager come looking for the affected with the white big cover β¦ :x -

You mean that the kids who are not selected will still receive in writing from MOE on indicating where they stand.... :idea:glchua:

Possibly just administrative issues. They already have the results, maybe they need to sort out the distribution to the schools.
Either that or their printer is down, computer crashed, ran out of yellow envelopes, in-charge on MC⦠normal hiccups!
That said, I still want the result YESTERDAY. -

I agree too that they should at the very least send email to the school first before they send the yellow envelopes over.So net savvy ,,, So why cant MOM publish results via their portal and slowly send the results via mail (the great yellow packet).

On their website, maybe quite sensitive for those who don't make it.
But I am all in for it for them to email the results to the school at least.. -
