Anyone can tell me where to get the violin restring?
-
Honesty:
My DD is a lefty and was told it is difficulty to learn violin. Is it true? Any adv.
Honesty:
Kekeke…this is really interesting. Learning to play a musical instrument is not like learning to hold a pencil to write or learning to eat with chopsticks! In fact, I think it’ll be easier for lefties to learn string instruments (violin, cello etc) because the LH finger work can be very difficult for higher grades. Bow control of the RH involves more of the wrist, elbow and arm.The difficulty is the coordinaton. DD now trained to use right hand to hold the bow and left hand to hold the violin... is this correct?
As for coordination, whether lefties or righties also same problem. -
Question: If your child hasn’t learnt how to tune the violin, and neither can you, how is your child going to learn the play the right notes? Can’t possibly wait until the teacher tune it during that half hour lesson? The entire week of practice would have been wasted efforts if the child has been playing it wrongly, right?

Then figure how to tune, lor. Nowadays have tuner apps for downloading too. Don't need to even buy extra tuner. -

Now I don't have to be in shock when outside and forgot to bring tuner. Usually I do have my handphone with me, so all's good! haha. -
