Hi, anyone like me, appealing to schools which are not in the 6 choices. Pls. share.
In the appeal form of the school, you need to fill up the 6 choices of the schools you have put during the selection. -

justsay, so your child get into RV ? -
Coco Tofu:
how to find out what foreign language we got into?
The Secondary School Posting Letter will indicate the 3rd language that your child is eligible to. -

You will know immediately from the school you appeal to if the difference is 1 or 2 points although MOE said that the results will be out end Dec or early Jan. Both my students (they were cousins) got their grandfather to appeal for them to TKSS 4 years ago and managed to get in after interviews etc. Their points were quite off but did very well in the school. If you can convince the principal and your child shows that he or she is willing to work hard and do the school proud, you should have no problem. Use your sincerity and communication skills to the fullest. Good luck. :xedfingers:Hey does any one know the COP for Nan Hua High School???
BTW,my DD actually got 240 for PSLE, but the sad thing was that she put Crescent as first choice but could not get in,although the COP for the school was 240.
Sigh... ... ... a very sad thing... ...
BTW, if we consider to appeal for Crescent Girls', when would we know whether she is posted to the school??? Would it be before school re-open, or after school re-open??? Hope sb can answer this question.... ...
Thanks
You can call the MOE hotline : 68722220 & they will tell you the COP. I called up NJC this morning asking if I can appeal for my son if he did not choose the school at all & the lady staff there was very very unfriendly. :x She said she doesn't see any reason why i should appeal if NJC is not in the 6 choices at all. Worst, after hearing my son's agg. 257, she said the COP this year is above 257, bull shit. Simply asking you to give up. The school doesn't know the COP yet cos' when I called up Dunman High, the friendly staff told me they do not know the COP yet most probably in the afternoon. I will appeal for DHS instead.
Half a year ago, I called NJC regarding admission to the school for a friend's daughter who just came back from overseas. The lady staff was very rude and sounded grumpy. In the end, she got me so mad I quarrelled with her. From then on, I struck the school off my daughter's sec sch list. That conversation really gave me a very bad impression of the school. Cannot imagine having to deal with such staff for 6 years.
Yep ! Yep ! I was in NJC for my first 3 months of JC and I was looked down by them greatly, the teachers and students. The first thing they checked was which school you were from ........ dealing with the students and staff for 3 months was already long enough .... .and for parents to dealing for 6 years, headache ..... and new students slowly got into the same old NJC style ..... Told myself then, I will have a good uni local degree, need not go overseas, AND WITHOUT EDUCATION FROM NJC and I did .... NTU first class and I AM NOT FROM NJC .... ha ha ha !!! Kang Pai !!! :celebrate: -

For DHS I asked the staff specifically whether it is before or after deducting bonus point and she said before. I posted DS3's agg before. Anyway it's 251.
Care to share what's yr DS3 agg?tutormum:
DS3 got into VS as expected and hope he gets into a better class. Called MOE to check . VS COP is 245 (down 2 points). DHS is 258 before bonus point. Geylang Methodist is 222 for non-Affiliated and 188 for Affiliated. Their NA is 191 (up few points) for non and 153 for A.
Congrats to all who get into your choice school and good luck for those who appeal. :congrats: :congrats:
