Try emailing him. Think he left an email address somewhere sometime ago. Think he said he set up a online learning portal if my memory didn’t fail me, but we didn’t need to use his service.

Hi, needed some advice. My son has A for his PSLE Science (with group tuition). Is it advisable to stop Science tuition for S1? He wants to try out on his own but I am afraid he has difficulty catching up if we don’t start early. Appreciate your thoughts, please. Thanks.

Also, any parents send their kids for Science tuition at Learning Point (Thomson) or My Masterclass at Sin Ming?

                Appreciate some feedback too. Thanks.

Sec sch science is like pri sch science where different schools do topics in different sequence…Learning Lab has school specific science classes, but also not for every school. So need or not is one, can find or not is another?

Lower Sec sch Sc is not difficult if yr child had done so well. If u do not let go & let ur child find his steps during lower sec, he’ll always be depending on tuition & never able to Fe confident enuf to spread his own wings.

Analogy of a butterfly growth cycle:-

A caterpillar is cute & hungry till it hibernate as a pupa. We can either leave the pupa to hv it’s quiet growth inside its cocoon & when it’s seen breaking thro it’s cocoon, let it struggle by itself or you might be soooo tempted to help it break its protective ‘shell’ & cripple the fellow. Why? Because we didn’t let it struggle to build it’s muscle & it’s under-develop muscle cannot enable it to take flight. Does this help us see a parallel for our kids’ development?

Thanks Esteema and MerlionInGermany for sharing your thoughts. Will give DS a shot to try out on his own.

Anyone able to recommend good tution for sec 1 (express)? Thanks[/quote]

Hi I just PMed you my children’s tutor. Just to provide everyone with some info, my kids’ tutor is a math and science specialist.
Like most parents, I have tried and changed multiple tutors for my children (both group and 1-1). This tutor has been with us for quite some time and my children’s results has improved tremendously under him. One of my boy who was in P5 this year, scored 88 and 92 for his Science and Math End of year exams respectively. Meanwhile my oldest son who is waiting for his O level results has consistently scored A1 for his triple science (Biology, Physics, chemistry), A-math and E-math since Sec 3.
This tutor is well-liked by all of my kids as they feedback to me that he is highly approachable and friendly. Furthermore, he doesn’t kill the learning desire of his students by being too strict.
Lastly, this tutor had a good track record, producing multiple A1 and A* students at the PSLE and O level exams.
For his contact, pls pm me directly. For more info, you can contact him. Thanks
