Teresa = Patricia.I thought one of the mummies who attended the briefing on Tuesday said the principal's name was \"Teresa\"? Or was she referring to Patricia?
Did Patricia appear arrogant type to you?
Hmm, Patricia tried to be friendly. She asked my girl to sit in front with her, that scared my girl off.
First impression more on neutral or slightly negative on her, don't know why. May be I found her a bit \"fake\"...
qms:
Ya, this sentence is from the guy who answered my call. Was this what they said - that the capacity will either be slightly up or down after renovation?
qms:
The guy explicitly said this, so could be quite safe.Did they say this explicitly, or was it implied? There is a difference between \"current lease with NUS is 3 years\" and no fee revision within 3 years.

That was my first impression of her via e-mail, too. Let me see how she's like on Friday. The Operations Manager (OM) plays a very important role, too, in addition to the principal. If the principal of the centre happens to be the arrogant type who refuses to accept feedback, OM is the one to go. If even the OM is arrogant, then, the centre might not be that suitable for us. The original OM of LV@NUS was very receptive to feedback. I got my points across to her during the chaotic period, and she actually actioned on it. That's why we are still with LV@NUS today.

I think that guy is called Amos, right? This type of answer sounds familiar. Reminds me of those current affairs programs where the host would ask the financial analyst where he felt the stock market would be heading. His answer was - either up, down or remains. :!: :stupid: You don't need a person of such calibre to answer it this way, right?Ya, this sentence is from the guy who answered my call.
lzxuan:
Good for you. Just because the lease is for 3 years doesn't mean they will not use \"other costs\" as \"reasons\" to increase the fee. Let's hope they do keep to their promise.First impression more on neutral or slightly negative on her, don't know why. May be I found her a bit \"fake\"...

I felt more secure as of the word SLIGHTLY. I was imagined of increase by 100 kids or more last night. -
lzxuan:
You are very \"lobang-ful\", can get her email..
Hi lzxuan!
Please let me know if LSH doesn't give you the $100 voucher eventually. I will forward you the e-mail. You can then \"claim\" the $100 voucher using the e-mail as evidence, because she mentioned \"existing parents\" in her e-mail. :celebrate: -
Iβm afraid if next time we have any suggestion to her to improve on something and is v difficult for her to accept because i feel that she is more on the hard side.
LV principal and most of the staffs isit different from her? -
Hi Fion!
Isnβt the Ulu Pandan centre a bit far for your boy? Is it worth travelling all the way there just for the curriculum? -

Agreed.Fion Loh:
The teachers who taught my children are generally fine. They are receptive to suggestions.LV principal and most of the staffs isit different from her?
As for Joanne, as I mentioned previously, she has a daughter studying in the centre. Hence, she is also a \"customer\" of the centre. She will accept suggestions as long as they are reasonable.
If you have any concerns, talk to the teacher, principal and finally, the operations manager, in that order. When my children just joined LV@NUS, the problem was that the principal didn't garner any support from the staff. there were \"civil wars\" within the centre. Hence, I thought it might not be that appropriate or effective to feedback our observations to the principal. This was the reason why I wrote to the operations manager. Luckily, she was customer-oriented enough to respond to my concerns.
Learning Vision was taken over by another organisation, and the operations manager has since left. Luckily, I have been able to resolve any issues faced in the centre with the teachers and Joanne. To me, no issue with LV. -
hi qms,
Actually Ulu pandan is not convient for me. LVSP2 will be a better choice.
I'll wait for Joanne to contact me so that i can meet her and talk about the programme LV offer
