Mrs Ang:
Will you be doing part-time when becoming a SAHM again?
I don't think so Mrs Ang.
I did for a few months when I was pregnant.
But when DD came along, no time liao.
SAHM is a full-time job. -

Hey duriz,quirkymum:
Thanks duriz
I actually have 2 more kids to look after (sister's kids-she is in malaysia and cant look after them) so the whole house feels like a :!: most of the time..are you working, how do you cope?
Good morning quirkymum.
I was a SAHM for a year.
I came back to work in June due to a mini domestic crisis.
But I hope to go back to being a SAHM this year-end.
I miss my DD alot but I've gotten used to the pace at work.
When I get home at night, it's non-stop action: dinner and bath with DD, expressing milk, nursing, bedtime stories and we both sleep at about 9-9.30pm. Weekends are even busier. But looking at my DD, it's worth it
You have two+two to look after :salute:
Try to rest when you can: when they are playing on their own, napping, watching tv etc.
Come online and chat with us to gain some sanity
It's exhausting, don't kid yourself but you are not alone.
Kudos to all mummies and daddies :celebrate:
Thanks I do need some me-time and this forum does provide it
How long did you breast feed your child for? I could only last for 3 months for mine
I think if you can be a SAHM, that would be the best! Are there a lot of SAHMs nowadays? It seems that there are a number of this forum.

DD's had 1 cough - MIL gave her cold watermelon juice without my knowing :x and 1 cold - MIL gave her an outdoor bath (in our garden) under the hot sun :x but nothing that was virus-related.
DD is my one and only  -
duriz:
Your MIL stays with you? How do you manage?
Thanks quirkymum.quirkymum:

Mine stays at the other end of the island, not that she is nasty but if we stay with her, I will get a permanent headache! The way she does things is very different from me and we will be stepping on each other's toes all the time. -

We manage.
No major conflict.
But yes, different approach when it comes to raising DD.
We are careful to \"dance\" around each other's toes
-
duriz:
You will be facing her 24/7 after you become a SAHM so both of you must have mastered excellent \"dancing\" skill. I no longer bother to perform that skill and she knows it.

Admire your patience, I hate to \"dance\" around her toes.
We stay with them.

But if you manage then its good, she can help you look after DD when you
need some time for hubs and you?

We are all mothers afterall.
One day I shall be a MIL as well.
A good, patient and loving one I hope
