Thought of adding my feedback on extraedge in case someone chance upon this thread.

Fun as they do experiments in school. Heard their teacher is PSLE marker so I supposed he will be able to guide them on how to answer the questions.

Some of the experiments they did include the mouldy bread. Common exam questions. They were given worms to bring home to observe the developmt :!: I wasn't too pleased/ keen with that.

Results... my P3 moved from 60+ in CA1 to 80 in CA2. So I suppose it does help in some information retention.

My kids are with Enopi and I am happy with the results so far so no intention to change.

My DD will be in P4 next year.


We have been sending her for Science Enrichment at Science Buddies for some years now. She is in Band 1 for Science.

Recently, we found out that Mind Stretcher offers Science tuition, and they claim to be more rigorous for Exams Preparation. They give mind map summary of each topic, etc.

It is hard to know if it is better because we have yet to experience it. I am considering a change over to Mind Stretcher.

Does anyone know which of the two offers more rigorous program. Or does anyone sends your child to Mind Stretcher. What is your assessment?

I am looking for 1 of those centres too. I have sourced out quite a few of them and is considering which to choose. Not easy choosing a suitable centre. Many aspects to consider. Some centres do not have labs. So this must b considered carefully.

List of ctrs: :idea:
1. The Learning La
2. Smart Science Lab
3. Doctor Peh associates.

Learning Lab will assess your child's abiity b4 admission. The child will b tested on Eng & Maths. Smart Science does not req that (definitely 1of the cheapest around). These 2 ctrs are located @ United Square. Doc Peh is the most expensive...ahem :shock: @$2300 for :shock: 10 lessons!!!! :shock:

My child will be going for assessment with The Learning Lab. Std there are quite high there.

Thanks for your info, i had just checked with Smart Science Lab, i felt that the lesson time was abit too short (1hr15mins)charges for wkend classes @$370 for 12 lessons. They say they are having roadshow this wkend with promotion if we sign up for the course. Might bring my ds over and have a look first.

Btw, i'm sure TLL is also not cheap right???
