Comparing Science Enrichment Programs

Parents be warned about Mindstretcher. Sent my kid to the Braddell branch for 2 months and nothing but worksheets. If it’s a new topic, maybe teacher will teach for 30mins, then it’s doing worksheets & reviews answers. Then for several sessions, my DS said they just sit there for 1.5hrs doing worksheets and then maybe 30mins reviewing answers. If such is the approach, parents can do it themselves using assessment paper & answer key.
I took my DS out after 2 months. No use complaining. My friend also complained but the management doesn’t do anything. -

any gd sci tuition centre or teacher to recommend?
Heard that Mastery Learning Centre (Bishan & Balmoral Plaza) is good at preparing students for exams/PSLE (especially in Science). Any parents whose kids are/were in Mastery Science? Appreciate your feedback and comments... -
My dd started with Just Education about 1.5 months ago. Looking at the lesson plan, they do spend quite a bit of time on each topic. Though it might be too soon to see any results, I have noticed that dd could now better remember certain concepts/keywords, perhaps due to constant reinforcement over several weeks.
Downside to Science tuition in a group setting is that the topics covered might not synchronize with what’s being taught in school so as a parent, I have to "chip in". However, it is really difficult to find a good Science tutor (individual). I have tried, and all the tutor does is make dd do test paper after test paper, then mark based on answer key. After a while, dd just spaced out. -
Anyone has feedback on good science enrichment centres in Clementi?

My neighbour sent her kid there, she said his concepts were clearer after that but not sure if it translated into actual results.

Hi,
Can I know whether your neighbour feedback the class size as understand that their class size. -
Monster Mummy:
Not sure, I did not ask her about that, but I know she does not mind big classes. She sent her son to Mavis before and it has rather big classes.glendt:

Hi,
Thanks. I think some children adapt well in big class as long as parents must monitor their rogrss.
