      Anyone considered Singapore Savings Bond?

Not at this moment due to ultra-low interest rates.

1.55%pa for 6mths, no min sum required. Not sure if this is the best rate so far.

actually IMHO i think the int for FD are low... maybe u wan to consider UOB one or OCBC 365 ... but these required some CC spending before u can get the high interest ..

for uob, CC spent min 500 for constant 3 months get $50 rebate and on top of that a min 50K deposit on their uob one account , can get average interest of $100 per mth .. that is like average 2.4% int per annum

Too many conditions attached and I need to keep track to ensure all are met in order to enjoy the 2.4% Pa capped at $50K.

You are right lee_yl..I just called Singtel to change my billing cycle to mid month as I have missed one month interest just because that month has 30 days instead on 31 days for Singtel billing cycle ..so my number of Giros is short of their requirement...other than that getting more pro in charging credit cards liao. Planning to open 365 and One acct under dh's name also..like the 'flexibility' of principal too.

A friend complained that her housing loan GIRO deduction was delayed by a day so she was short of one GIRO transaction for that month. She went to the bank to explain but to no avail. To me that's very tiring so I don't intend to open such accounts.
