      A better tomorrow:
( I'm sorry if this is supposed to be somewhere else because I can't find the appropriate topic to post in ) :imsorry:

My toilet light exploded this morning when I switched it on . There was a loud boom with a slight spark and the glass was all over the floor . Any idea why this happened ?
It is possible if you are using incandescent bulbs. Those lamps usually have a vacuum inside with the filament, but air could have seeped in and contact with the filament make cause the bulb to explode when heated.

      See http://www.doityourself.com/stry/5-potential-dangers-to-consider-when-using-incandescent-light-bulbs#b.
