Hello All

May I know where to get the genmaicha green tea?

I have a friend, drink green tea and also sour plum drinks, and she lost a lot of weight. Not sure its due to the latter or the former.

oso not really flat flat. Just that compared to the bloatedness of PMS, after going to the toilet 6 times, feels flat loh. Looks flat or not dunno, have not stripped to check. šŸ˜›

Yes true now since i am drinking 3 cups a day I oredi have to double up my washroom usage šŸ˜ž

I guess that helps to cleanse the system? I realise that as I grow older  I suffer from water retention too, feeling bloated at times. Just wondering if drinking green tea will help alleviate the problem?

Yes it does. And as I just experience, barley helps too. Even more potent then green tea. 2 cups and I've been to the toilet 6 times. Now stomach feeling nice and flat. PMS period summore. hahah.
Then something must be wrong with me, i don't get all the above even if i drink 5 cups of green tea... 😢

so tummy still big and getting bigger...

Its just like wat Funz said
Just by turning my eating timetable the other way around helps. What used to be light breakfast, ok lunch and heavy dinners is now big breakfast, substantial lunch and light dinners. I restrict my carbos to only the mornings
I do eat stuff like chicken rice, lasi lemak, roti prata, mee goreng, laksa, pasta, etc...Just that I only eat it once or twice a week, not everyday or worst twice a day. Portion control is another thing, like 1 egg prata with 1 plain, previous portion was 2 eggs and 1 plain and dip the gravy instead of pouring all gravy in and let the prata soak it all up. No upsize, no additional egg/liver with my chicken/duck rice. No additional fried chicken wing with nasi lemak. I don't slurp up all the gravy of laksa like I used to. Mee goreng without the extra sunny side up.

I would eat veg before meat, more veg and meat instead of carbo. More energy needed to digest veg and meat than carbo. Of course the choice of meat is important, choose lean meat (chicken breast instead of thigh/wings) and complex carbo (high fibre bread/mixed grained rice/oats/bran/musli). Forgo the gravy that comes with meat/veg. If you must hv gravy, dip (NOT dunk) the meat into gravy instead of covering the entire plate with gravy.

Every morning b4 i do anything, I drink a glass (at least 300 ml) of warm water with a squeeze of lemon/lime juice. This helps to clean your system. I drink a glass of water slowly (about 5 to 8 mins) b4 each meal. I don't drink during meal, cos that would dilute your digestive juice and affect your digestive system. I eat fruits and veg like carrots, celery, cucumber, grapes, unsalted almonds, green apples, etc as snacks. When I hv cheese, I choose more flavourful semi-hard like emmental, sharp cheddar, feta.

These are just some of the things I do. I didn't do all at one go, just tackle one for each meal and think for 5 sec b4 ordering for a meal. Whenever I eat a dessert, I will walk an extra 15 to 30 mins during my 3x weekly workouts. So if I hv been indulgent for the week, I will walk an extra hour. I still enjoy my hawker fare, but just not in the indulgent way that I used to.

But remember that I am very overweight to begin with. The heavier you are the easier to lose. At my heaviest, I need a scary 1700 calories for my body to function at rest. I lost 4 kg in the 1st month. then it slowed to about 1 kg a month and I gained about 4 kg while away for my month long x'mas holidays so now back on routine to start my 1kg a month goal. But now got to increase my workouts (walking and stairs climbing) to lose more. My goal is to lose another 8 to 10 kg by end of this year. I learned that if you lose the weight slowly, it will stay off.

                  MLR,

                  :ugogirl:

                  jia you! :rahrah:

sad thing is, i seldom eat laksa, nasi lemak, mee goreng, chix rice and will usually go for 2 plain prata. BUT I'm guilty of all the gravy pouring!!! I've a weakness for curry... can slurp up a bowl in under 5 mins!

i think i got to cut that out and follow your recommendation and also pack in some workout. I'm currently have 0 workout although i set a target to go for 10km runs this year! gosh! really got to work that butt now.

Thanks for sharing with us. I think its very helpful and useful. I hope you will lose your weight very soon, and i wanna take your advise and start to change and lose weight too!
