I donโ€™t drink it regularly. There is a type of green tea which is green tea tea leaves plus rice (?). I find it better than pure green tea as the latter can be quite bitter.

        Usually 2- 3 cups a day.

6-8 cups, Iโ€™ll have to camp in the toilet at nite.

Bitter meh. Not really wat. It has a milder taste then most chinese tea.

You talking about normal green tea right. Not the Japanese powder kind that they use in their tea drinking ceremony.

The one with rice is called genmaicha.

I like macha, which is the thick one. Don't drink often, only when I have the time to slowly sip and taste each mouth. ๐Ÿ™‚

I never add sugar or honey to green tea.

Are we supposed or required to do so? It is the raw taste that thrills a green tea lover.

Got such thing as a perfect figure meh? My figure ah, standing at 156cm (& shrinking) and weighing between 46-47kg (and increasing). Got some bulges in places where there should not be any and can be bigger in some areas and smaller in others and can definitely afford to be perkier and less jiggly in all areas.

Like I said, I do not think green tea alone can help you lose weight if you do not change your lifestyle and eating habits. But it does help me in digestion and reducing the gelak feeling if you know what I mean.

Well if you use to be a coffee drinker and you drink coffee with milk and sugar and take like 2 -3 cups a day. Switch to green tea and dun add sugar or cream and you may find yourself losing a couple of pounds.

Seriously, if you want to lose weight, try changing your eating habits.

Yeah, I like genmaicha! Itโ€™s got the smell of roasted grain.

That said, I love matcha anything. Matcha latte, matcha icecream โ€ฆ Just love the taste.

                  try this instead.

take your salads & soup for dinner instead of lunch. Use dressings like the Japanese sesame dressing or balsamic vinegar dressings. No cream dressings.

have your normal lunch, if possible cut back on carbo.

have a big breakfast. But no processed foods. Can have eggs but if worried about cholestrol remove the yolk.

Cut out sugar from your diet. And no fried foods.

Try to keep up with your exercise regime.

Replace your coffee or any softdrink with Green Tea. Iโ€™m sure you will be able to lose some. And this is not a diet, it should be your eating habit for the long term. Else you will simply lose and then pile back on again. Of course you can have the occasional heavy dinner or sinful snack but so long as you are eating like that most of the time, your weight should go down and health improve.

Great advice, Funz...and may I add, remove dairy from your diet too (I'm the perennial teh c drinker, so the evaporated milk already kills me!)

loveskidsvery much, you are refering to japanese green tea bags right? Coz the Chinese green tea is a different fermenting method from say white or black tea - and still contains caffaine.

The Jap version doesn't and has catechins that help in the weight reduction...but one of the side effects is...having to go to the toilet more often! (you're in good company, Funz)

                    try this link http://greentealovers.com/greenteahealthcatechin.htm

genmaicha - the one with brown rice - is usually taken after a meal as it is effective in cleansing the oils ๐Ÿ˜‰

                      Great tips, Funz. Thanks.

Looks like I have to avoid going into the \"Food Paradise\" threads. Other forummers giving wonderful suggestions like where to go eat... dim sum, bak kut teh, prawn noodles... Not helping my waistline.

Anyway, I love green tea too. I think it's great for our digestive system, helps to get the gunk out!!
