Thanks for all the sharing! The mum said she will let the child decide. The child needs to live with the DSA commitment if she accepts CO, and live with the regret if she could have gone to her dream school. Hopefully that would spur her to work harder. She also needs to know that if she can't get the results to enter either school, she will have to learn to live with it and make the most out of it. Painful, yes, but we don't get all the things we want in life too, isn't it?

No, her DSA efforts will not be wasted. The process, the interview experience, and her ability to make and live with her own decision, are all important to her growth, and hopefully she will emerge from it stronger and wiser.

Agree too!! my DC also did this last year. Eventually, DC was not rejected. She was a little disappointed but this whole experience of DSA makes her stronger and learn to cope with the disappointment more readily. It's afterall, part and parcel of life...

Appreciate all your kind sharing & inputs!!! Ours is still a good dilemma so have to be thankful no matter what. Will ask DS to consider carefully for his choice. I dun want to be in our kids' positions nowsdays (so many things to think through) & they are just twelve. Quite sure my parents just made a rough assessment and chop chop decide for me when I was P6 lol... :roll:

I would suggest wait till after she take her PSLE. How confident she is with the papers before deciding whether to accept the CO or not?

Anyway, the School Preference Period is on 30 Oct - 3 Nov... By then the kids already finish their PSLE and time for them to relax already...

I think is for both successful and not successful applicants. My girl just received her rejection letters from NYGH and DHS.
Only good news today is she did well for prelim. :love:
