Soneat,
Your DD done amazing feat! You are one proud parent. Go celebrate lah! Make her feel she made u proud!
:congrats: -
No lah…its her own effort, with us the parents as the facilitators only. This will give her the much needed confidence for the upcoming battle.

I would rather you take up the CO to be very frank. Bell curve and results are stuff are so unpredicatable, At leas DSA efforts not gone to waste. Think carefully k.
If she rejects CO from school B, her DSA efforts will be wasted. PSLE results are uncertain.mommyNg:
My friend has this problem. Her DD was unsuccessful from Sch A but received a CO from Sch B. Her choice school is really Sch A. Now her dilemma is whether to reject CO from Sch B and try her best in PSLE to enter her dream Sch A (but risky because you won't know the results until Nov), or to accept CO from Sch B but with possible regret if PSLE results good enough to enter Sch A?
Any parents with past experiences (successful and unsuccessful ones) to share? -

They do conduct SIE secondary intake exercise which happens after PSLE results are out and is based on PSLE result. It's a new application, not related to DSA intake so you have to check with school after PSLE Results are out whether they are going to conduct SIE this year.
NUSH SIE application is 1/11-14/11, before PSLE results out.iFirefly:
May I check, for NUSH CO letter this year, is there any clause that says 'place is only confirmed only if put NUSH as first choice', or something along this effect? Thanks.
I believe this clause applies only to WL.
FYI.. NUSH does not participate in S1 posting. -

Not all schools, at least not to RI. RI CO letter stated and highlighted \"provided that he indicates Raffles Institution as his top preference\", my understanding is that one will miss it if putting as 2nd.FantasyLandDreams:

If you dont put the school as first choice, you will be allocated the first choice school that you have filled in.
Is not that NUSH will take away the CO, just that you will not be allocated to NUSH. Unless your first choice is on WL and no space for conversion to CO, then you will be allocated to NUSH. This applies to.all school. -

Did RGS also put the same clause
as RI, inside RGS CO letter ? -

DS is in RI year 4. From what he has been sharing with me, there are DSA sports boys that don't make it to the school team. Some are because other boys have become taller/bigger after their growth spurt so those boys are faster/stronger. Some are because other boys have become more skillful after training, even better than DSA sports boys. So, entering a school via DSA sports doesn't guarantee a place in school team and entering a school via PSLE doesn't mean can't be in school sports team.
My dd really like her sports, but she thinks her CO sch may not be as strong, so she thinking of giving up n use PSLE results to go rgs, but then I told her u get kick out of sports domain mean the team they choose is much stronger than u, if end up get into the sch also no guarantee can play for 1st team. Quite confident can get in using results, but there is always a IF, as rgs cannot afford any margin of error
