sent from prepaid SIM?

Yes, prepaid SIM.
It’s a known problem? -

Happens to me sometimes, but very occasionally. It has happened when my daughter (on M1 prepaid) sends me sms (I am on Starhub postpaid). But it's usually just 30 mins or so delayed, I think. I've never tried to find out why though.Yes, prepaid SIM.

Within the same day I can tolerate. In fact, I would just assume the person didn't see/reply right after I sent, and didn't think it was a delay.
But a 3 days delay?! :faint: -

Complain to IDA... oops... IMDA. They will be the ones going after the telcos.Within the same day I can tolerate. In fact, I would just assume the person didn't see/reply right after I sent, and didn't think it was a delay.

So you don’t think this is equipment failure?

Here's the http://www.ifaq.gov.sg/IDA/apps/fcd_faqmain.aspx?qst=hRhkP9BzcBImsx2TBbssMsxu7lqt6UJK70a1wAEVmycSZZwvzDXIlQm6qQnvSnL%2BKN391Pn5wSx1dWVqVU%2FWWj0pqx3ihzTgEEE3ThR8OM5aotJYIWFz4SsA0pDbTW8SS9fwpisXzDifljuA1xJk3l0klzZZSROslKs7fB52UR%2FdlM%2F2yr8PoPoz2I9QpJ2FcqrmmusDelzD8kZZWjoq2n9bFm%2FtJDUBDDfd7nDFEDY%3D#FAQ_2552. You need to prepare evidence of what actually happened. Screenshots of dates and times will be useful. Try to show them to your telco and see if they respond. If they don't, send the report to: [email protected].
Most likely, they will claim that your daughter's phone was out of service area for a number of days :). -
BigDevil:
Not sure. But I somehow think that the service level is lower but still acceptable.Yes, prepaid SIM.

ChiefKiasu:
Hmmm...perhaps it's also possible that the phone was out of the service area during sending and then the phone does not have a robust enough s/w to deal with such exceptions.
