主要有两种：观点（需要说出你的看法—是否赞同/觉得好还是坏），现象/措施（需要你分析因素、后果或提出建议/解决方法）。

格式相同，知识内容部分得根据问题做出相对的回应。

1. 抄题+立场/观点
2. 内容 （需要审题，根据题目给予相对的回复）
3. 总结

请问一下，“看法” 类的材料作文，是不是一定要写一段建议？for example, after the child given the views on the topic (maybe two paragraph), does the child need to include at least one paragraph on建议 (3rd paragraph) before 总结？thanks!

Hi Reenie,

Yes, for 看法/观点 type, after analysing the issue + sharing your personal thoughts, before wrapping up, the student can briefly share some suggestions (unlike for 现象/措施 type, where suggestions/solutions will the main focus).

I wouldn't term it as 扣分/mark deduction/penalization, but rather lesser chance of scoring higher grades.

The way I explain it to my students is:
- relevant format/structure and/or basic content for Paper 1 and Oral will only secure you the minimal grade. the key to score better is about value adding (language expression, elaboration of pointers etc.)

- for Paper 2, it's a much straight forward case of being awarded marks based on right or wrong answers
