Must say it’s more variety of teens / adult books than kids books at Times store at this bookfair. I remembered there is another store selling GS books but at a higher price (I think $7+ per book if I do not remembered wrongly). Maybe will go down another time next week instead of this weekend, as I hate rushing with weekend crowd at Suntec convention centre and shopping mall.

If anyone happens to be down tomorrow, please update on range of books at Times. My intention is to get some teen books and chicken soup series for Christmas presents.

you can buy this series in JB at about RM10.50 (normal price, sometimes got discount) - this one book I bought here I didn't see in JB.
Which book store did you go in JB?

I've only been to one store - Harris but not many titles. No idea where is popular bookshop in JB

              My update.

Not too big a fair. Things are better organized in an orderly way. Staff are cheerful, helpful. (Kekekeke, maybe it was still very early and not many people).

I bought just a few assessment books but many copies of the comic book 'the survival ' science series .

Now on the comic books (many copies) has a price tag @$7.50, but at cashier it was $7.60. Pointed to staff that many copies on the shelves have a $7.50 price tag, they checked and seems like they forgot to remove the $7.50 price tag and sp is actually $7.60. Anyway, I got mine at $7.50 and please don't be mistaken hor, I didn't kick up a fuss or insist that the price is $7.50.

I just pointed out very nicely to them about the many copies on shelves with the wrong price tag and left them to sort it out themselves. Me a good girl today. :please:

Anyway, it has been a good trip there but wish I have more time to look at the books........

These survival science books, good? πŸ˜‰

I would think is good lah!

One of the survival comics that dd read have a picture illustrated of the different size of ears between Dessert Fox and Arctic Fox due to their adaptation. Bigger ears to reduce body heat and smaller ears to reduce the loss of body heat.

The above is similar to one of the open & end question (elephant) came out during PSLE 2010!

Also, there are two comics that we had bought this year, think the name is \"climate change\" help DD score well in one of the Geography Test in this topics. : πŸ˜„

Hee brenda10, I think you just increase sales by 10%?

But yes I concur. These books are fun read and they insert facts and stuff inside. My P2 enjoys reading these. Besides survival series, there is also dr boom and new ones coming up. All along the same lines, educate whilst entertaining.

I think there was something in one of the books about making clean water in a survival setting, and it was a past psle question. That how I got interested in the series at bookfest 2 years ago.

But it’ll be a lot of work to get that little bit of marks?

The one with the most survival books...at aeon tebrau. It is a bit further north in JB. There is a Harris there. So far the most comprehensive collection. City sq in JB now under going renovation. Not nice to shop these days.
