The consumers must also have reading culture and support buying books at regular prices 😂 If most people waiting for 50% -70% discount before grabbing a lot of books, how can bookstores survive? :rotflmao:

Actually it is not only happening in Singapore, the brick and mortar bookstores in China are also suffering with consumers buying more from online stores which are offering more discount and free delivery to home / office.
Quite true. But if you know that you can get a book at list price in a bookshop vs 50% off via online, a bit hard to say I will support bookshop? And it's made worse by the fact that the online merchant probably has a more dazzling array of books available.

Back from Popular. Good prices overall.

English storybooks are going about buy 3 get 1 free. I got some chinese books (adult and non-fiction) at 90% off - those who are interested in the 好妈妈胜过好老师 for only $1.30 ($12.60 less 90%). There were a few more but one has to look through many shelves of books to find those.

Other chinese storybooks may be 30% off or up to 90% off (that is for card members; non members 70% off). Fans of Hayao Miyazaki can find his movie comic books (each story is in a set) - sorry again never see prize. Geronimo Stilton Chinese books at $2.50 per book (even the comic series). Plenty of stationery items. Assessment books about 20% off or so (didn’t look indepth).

I’m still holding out for bookfest at year end.
