        phankao:
        brainkuku:

I cant bring him go for little house montessori and summer montessori because one needs the kid to be toilet trained (about 36 mths) and the other about 24 months before they can go into the school.

Then just toilet-train him! I did that with my son who was then 26mths' old. He joined in the new school term when he was 29mths' old.

Phankao arh.. go share minute details at toilet training thread leh so that many of us can benefit from your super training. :please:

Buds, ya, for you, you send your kids to school mainly for them to socialise cos you can homeschool them on the MOntessori/ knowledge aspects. šŸ™‚

Ocean33, i think most church kindy around this area are not childcare centers, so they normally take in from 3 or 4yo.

St Francis of Assisi has 2 kindies in Jurong. One at Boon Lay and the other at Jurong West (near Rulang Pr that area). I can't find their website, not sure if they have, even though I googled.
thanks for helping. i can check the directory out. :salute:

                Hi everyone,

i have juz checked out CS Montessori at Nex. I muz say the person in charge, Daniel has left me wif a v gd impression.

The ctr is new & organised. The shelves had lots of montessori materials. It was an impromtu trip to Nex so by e time we were at e ctr, it was almost their closing time. Daniel was v patient and went thru each corner of e montessori materials & painstakingly explain 2 me of their uses. He could answer every question I pose & provide me wif more than enough info. Luv his sharing of having \"birthday walk\" for e kids at their ctr. It was not juz walking. E birthday kid will hold a globe to walk 1 round. By e time he/she finish walking one round, e teacher will tell them tis is how long it takes e earth to spin 1 round. I could nv have thot abt doing e explanation in tis fun manner.

There r lots of other stuff he shared. Even DH agreed tat e monte materials r gd stuff (have to let him have a feel mah, then he will b willing to part wif his $$$ , monte program not cheap mah :moneyflies: )

e more i read abt e monte curriculum, e materials, e more convince & impress IM . if anyone is interested in enrolling their kids in a monte program, i highly recommend to go down personally 2 c for yurself. e only concern i have now is e directress in e class. I guess it's juz yur luck šŸ™ on whether u get a gd directress or not. Anyway, I have sign up my DD2 4 e once a wk monte phonics prog and will most likely enrol my DS3 in their daily prog.

Their term fee for e daily prog is $1,500. So multiply by 4 terms in a yr, it's abt $6,000 per yr. Almost e same as childcare except it's not full day. Tat being said, u enjoy savings on $$$ as no further enrichment class will b required (if e child gets e full benefit fr a monte prog :dancing: ).

Will update in tis thread on my kids progress once ey started on e prog (at least aft 1 term).

Heyya cantbearit2, didn't read you for sometime already..

I suppose you have been busy. :snuggles: Nice review
shared up there babe. šŸ†’ Am also impressed you
could remember how our birthday walks are done.
Last time in our centre, we get the mom/dad/both
to do the bday walk together with the child. We'll
take videos and pictures for the family to keep 2!

We collect information of the special moments of
every yr (of the bday child's growth n development
to complete a brief history of the child. It's a slower
walk but a meaningful one. There were times I had
to conduct the birthday walk a few times when there
were a few bdays in one day. A wee bit giddy..
All the children will be really quiet as the ambience
gets really calm n cosy...listening to my story abt
their friend and how much they've achieved and
how much they've grown.. and how much they
have been loved..by the people around them.
Another colleague would be showing pictures of the
birthday child from birth to her current age now. It
is a hit with parents n children alike. Very special.

I read about the birthday walks. I think it is really meaningful and sweet too. Good for the kids to reflect, look back, and also understand how far in life he has journeyed. Nice. I have no kids in Montessori yet, so none of them have done the \"walk\". šŸ™‚

Hope dd gets to experience it in future...
