Actually A1 ward at govt hospital is ok lah. Mine is also that. Prob with mine is that I cannot add the cash component to waive the excess. 😞 so even though he has been hospitalized a few times, we have been paying everything coz it's still less than the excess. 😞
You mean the rider for deductible and co-insurance? So u must always pay the first $3500 plus 10%?

Now they dun allow u to purchase the rider anymore due to ASD or your son's other condition?

Other conditions coz at that time he wasn't diagnosed yet. But I saw in some local forums that they were rejected when declared autism. And they don't differentiate between high functioning or low functioning. So long autism, all lumped together.

I see. Ya, I asked my agent, she told me she tried to get a life policy for her client's son diagnosed with ASD but was rejected. If brand new policy, definitely will reject.

But health insurance shld covers right. Sigh.. Its so costly to go into stay in hospital in SG.

              Summer tan:

Thanks ImMeeMee. May I know what is NT?
Actually I just decided to call up the ICCP child care 2 weeks ago and the principal said since one student is leaving they can take in my son. I didnt know that there is a long wait list for other ICCP centres. Btw, the principal did not do any assessment for my son. We just went there and she talked to me about the centre's programme. Then i gave her the psychological report and that's all.

Yes, though my son can blend in to mainstream, he has difficulty socialising. The current PCF teacher feedback that he would sometimes scream or spit saliva, use f word (his father accidentally said it beginning of last year, he used it at K4K then after that didnt for more than half a year and recently started to use it but only in school not at home), hit his friends, purposely gave wrong answers during teaching which teacher said confused the rest of the students, cannot sit through during teaching time too. So i think he is much more difficult to handle than a severe ASD kid.

Oh you are staying in the north too? Is your child in preschool or primary school already? Thanks ya for sharing the info.

Ladies, thanks for all your advice and kind words. I feel so good that finally, yes finally, I have an avenue to turn to. Thank you. ..

Summer tan, NT refers to neurotypical. This is our lingo at this forum, rather than using the words normal or abnormal.

My doter is coming to 6 this year. She is currently with an EIPIC center in the morning and a mainstream childcare on most afternoons.

Lucky you to be able to enrol into ICCP within such a short span of time. Good luck, and let me know at a later stage if you still need CC contacts up north.

              Nice term NT. 🙂
My son also went to eipic centre and it's very faarrr, all the way from north to west. So good that your gal can go to mainstream cc.

                  Hi helplessmum

For PCF N1 & N2, it's 2 teachers for about 12 students. Whereas it's one teacher to 20 students for K1 & K2. How old is your son? I think my son is a special of a special needs. Cos not only does he not able to socialise he is active too. Hence I don't think any mainstream kindergarten will accept him..
I can only take a step at a time now.

How much do you think about your child’s future, and about how they will sustain themselves when parents are no longer with them?
