Can maid be shadow teachers? The school wont need anyone with certain qualification in order to join the class as shadow teachers? It will be chaotic if protective parents sit in as shadow teachers shadowing their own child and keep challanging the teachers on tasks to be done.
If you are referring to preschools, they are more flexible and will allow 1 ASD child with the maid in the class. But not many parents will share with you which schools take in ASD children as one class the most they allow 1 special needs child to blend in with the rest of the children for social interaction. -

Is a good sign. But $5000 / mth is v ex to hire a shadow tr. maybe parents can undergo some sort of shadow training first, then can shadow teach own child in sch.

You are welcome. I’m trying to provide more info for parents with ASD children. No child will choose to be diagnose with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Parents have to accept this fact but have to be realistic about what each individual child with ASD can or cannot accomplish. Hopefully, one day scientists can discover what causes ASD and why more children are diagnosed with ASD.

As I know, there are a few categories of pre-schools:
EIPIC centers
These are government-funded centers that are specifically catered for special needs children, and enrolment needs to be referred from a doctor or psychologist. Teachers are trained in special needs, and small teacher:student ratio to cater for a more structured learning environment. Each child is given an Individual Education Plan which sets out customized learning objectives and action plans for each semester. The list of EIPIC centers can be found on CEL website.
I think there are private EIPIC centers as well, Leapfrog could be one of them. But I dont have a lot of information in that area.
ICCP centers
These are childcare centers in a mainstream setting but have been selected to cater to a certain portion of special needs children. Some of the teachers are trained in special needs, but the teacher:student ratio may be quite similar to mainstream setting. Win-win situation for NT kids to learn about compassion and empathy towards special needs children, and for the latter to learn to blend into the mainstream environment. There is an official list of ICCP centers.
Mainstream pre-schools
This group caters to the mass of NT kids. There is no further framework in this category to break down schools into those who allow special needs children and those who do not, as this is never the first intent of mainstream pre-schools. On the ground, there are pre-schools who are open to considering special needs children on a case-by-case basis, and parents have to work closely with the schools to find the mutual fit.

You need to check with the schools, some may allow while some others may not. My boy's school principal wasn't keen when we requested to bring in shadow teacher. However, he assured us the school allied educators will provide support, which they did despite their limited resource.
