Hope to see you around on some days! I sent my child on weekends.jacsplace:
Hi i3mum,
Yes, it all depends on the child. It applies across the board, even to non-art schools.
My daughter goes to UE Square too

Hi jacsplace & i3mum,
Can share how much is the course fee in Art Zone? Intend to enrol for Age 4 & 7 child either now or next year program. -
Hi titank,
There are 2 assessment that your children need to go through: Basic & Intermediate which are 3 lessons each, a total of 6 lessons.
Each assessment is $75, 1.5 hour per lesson.
After that they can continue on the on-going lessons- you can opt to sign up 4 lessons at $60 ($15 per lesson) or 12 lessons at $165 ($13.75 per lesson). This includes all the material used in the lesson. There will also be a one-time $30 registration fee.
There is something I like about the classes is it is flexible, you don't have to worry about missing a lesson and you can go on your preferred day/ timing. If you are planning to sign your kids at the UE Square branch, I recommend you can look for Teacher Kaixin or Margaret. They always feedback to me about my child's work after every lesson.

So every individual need to go through Basic & Intermediate? There is no free assessment or trial? Usually how many students in the class? How long have your child being with Artzone? -
Hi titank,
Yes, every inidividual need to go through Basic & intermediate. There are some on going workshops, which you can try out. I m not too sure if there are any trial classes/ free assessment, which we didn't attend. Initially I went to place to have a look & ask what the children will be learning from the lesson, esp for my gal who has turned 5 this year. When I was there, I saw some students who were attending the class and they were doing some work, so they explained to me. There are some work displayed in the centre too.
As for the class size, it varies. As the lessons are flexible based, you can go as and when you like. Usually I go on weekend, I see there are about 3-4 teachers in the class. The students usually do not exceed 10. My gal has been there for 4 months.
I can show you a picture of what she has painted during 2nd lesson. Oh dear, I dont know how to upload an image here, can you guide me so I can upload?titank:

I would like to find out what the children learn in ArtZone.
Do the teachers teach drawing (as in draw things, people, animals, etc) or more on craft work? Do the whole class learn the same thing or selection of craft by individual?
Thanks. -
Hi sunshine05,
My daughter learns drawing and painting. There are items like boxes and masks that we have bought separately for my daughter to paint while she was there. We did this mainly because she wasn’t in the mood for paper!
It’s all individual, no group learning, although the kids do sit next to each other. My daughter has been attending for the last two years, since she was 4 and is considered quite advanced so they’ve recently started showing her secondary school techniques just to see if she can do it.
Themed workshops are held every week/month too and these are more craft-based. -
Dear all parents,
For those who are keen to find out more about Art zone/ sign their kids for the lessons, you may wish to look at the art work which my DD has done. My DD is currently 5.5yo and she started her lessons at Art zone in Mar (6 months) and I do see some progress in her work.
These are art pieces which are done in the class, and I do asked her to show me based on what she has learnt and paint the same pictures at home without guidance.
