Nando's
-
great ! thanks :celebrate:
about same price as kenny roger's ? -
I realize this is the wrong thread, but how IS Kenny Rogers'?
Anyway, I'm so fired up about Nando's liao. Am going to brave the parking for a bite during the school hols :). -
Went to Nando’s on Sat. Reach about 6+, queue until 7.30pm…the queue is jaw dropping. When we left close to 9pm, there was STILL A QUEUE!
Food was soooooo goood, I wish I can go back soon (but queue is daunting).
My sis had been to the JB Jusco branch, says that Singapore one is more flavourful.
I think the espetita is about $22. half chicken also about there. We had 2 mains to share between 3 adults - those came with 2 sides each.
They DON’T serve sky juice/water - you have to buy ice mountain at minimum. But their drinks are nice - had Nando’s sparkling apple, sis had some coke with pomegranate juice (that one ok only). Drinks are a necessity becos we were all ‘fired up’ after all the spicy food (first time…so try all the sauces). -
At this time, they don’t have reservations (queue is enough). I asked the staff.
Mon-Thursday 3-5pm sees the least traffic. Weekends, just prepare to wait. -
i past by today at about 1.15pm, the queue is ok. by 1.45pm, there’s no queue at all. In fact there are a number of empty tables!

Well, I don't work around that area....so until the fever die out, I guess I'll have to wait for offdays then can go eat.
-
likewise, I would probably skip for now until the queue is shorter. I can’t stand queues.
Thanks hquek for the review & info.
Thanks tree nymph for the info. -
i work in around that area so if i pass by, i can always give a quick update. but only for mondays - fridays...

thinking of going tomorrow afternoon... -
I’m in UK with my kids now visiting my parents. Have been to Nando’s twice (there are many Nando’s in UK dotted in the major towns). The people here seem really keen on them, I see long queues every time I walk pass a Nando’s.

Update
Q is still very long for dinner. But if you are able to make it by 6.30pm, the Q is managable. After this time, you need to have a lot of patient to wait in the Q and the Q is really long.
Lunch time is better but then usually we have only 1-1.5hour lunch, so unless you can get there before 12.15pm, else it will be a rush lunch.
They are opened earlier now too.
