      Hi Parents

My DS will be in Y1 2015

May I know which will be shorter walking distance to Gate 3 guard room....from bishan or marymount mrt?

We were told that the boys should enter by gate 3 as it is nearer t their block.

Gate 1 and 2 are students allowed to walk thru those gates?

It looks like Marymount walk to Gate 3 will be shorter.

      Please advise, thanks

Normally yr 1 to yr 4 will walk from Bishan MRT. Yr 5 and Yr 6 will use the Marymount MRT.

Just curious, why yr 1 to yr 4 not using Marymount MRT and use Bishan MRT instead?

      Hi,

Yesterday just attended the RI talk. Realised that my DS chosen Spanish for his 3rd language, the MOELC is located in Newton.

Will anyone experience be able to advise how your kids travel to Newton MOELC? Believe the kids maybe late for lesson as by the time dismissal, its already 1.30pm

You may check with RI admin office. For RGS, the sch has arranged with vendor to provide the transport either 2pm or 2.30pm and the girls just pay $55 annually ( $5 per trip ) for this.

      :thankyou: GiftedGem

    • RE: 2017 PSLE Discussions and Strategies

Put it this way, every one taking the exam is going through the same thing. So no need to be overly worried. At the end of the day, what is more important is kid's grammar and vocab foundation is sound.

Yes, there's nothing to be afraid of, unless you feel that your child is already primed for the current approach and the new format is unfairly biased against your child. That is unlikely since your child would not have experienced either the new or \"old\" format as yet. In fact, if your child's school is currently using STELLAR pedagogy, the new format will dove-tail nicely with their learning styles.

      :thankyou:

Just a bit worry even though my DD's MT is alright.
Maybe tends to compare with my DS who's always did well which make me more worry. šŸ™

      Hi All,

Would like anyone know if 2017 MT (Chinese), is there any changes in the syllabus?

My DD will be having hers in 2017.

My DS just completed his PSLE this year and English was the last batch with old syllabus.

Overall, this years' papers were not as easy.
However, he did quite well. šŸ˜“

Both my kids are this school now. P1 and P2 are very different now, in every school. There are quarterly test which is stressful for parents which unlike the normal SA examination. The amount of homework, it all depends the teacher. If your child is able to be in a good class with a good teacher, of course, homework will be more than others. In P1, there are very good teacher and not so too. All by luck.
