A note frm my boy's form teacher says tt the stellar learning sheets costs $8.80 and payment date is 7 Jan.

      Thanks for the info...

I hope I have some updates from my DD's teachers today. There's no info/updates from my DD's teachers in the last 2 days, and I also haven't received any time-table yet.

My DD brought home the time table today and also the note on the stellar worksheets. Maybe u can check with your DD too. 🙂

Oh! I thought it was because two of friends’s children didn’t receive d letter to enrol for it. Hmm…I better inform them for this yr.
Hi I’m not 100% sure about this. But I think it is by invitation. Initially, I thought all students can sign up but I notice the letter issued to my son had his name specifically written on it. And he mentioned not all his classmates got it. The turnout from his class for the actual Maths class was less than 10.
Ha ha blur me. I thought that its an open registration cos he was given the letter since P1 without fail. Anyway, he enjoyed it and I intend to sign my DD up if she’s ‘invited’.

H, Is P1 NeuroMath classes by invitation only or anyone can attend?

The NeuroMath was not by invitation. It's more like an in-school math enrichment lessons (done by external vendor) and parents can sign the kids up and pay to attend. They go by modules - think they hv 3 or 4 modules a year.

      HTH. 😄

      Thank you mAsHi.

      Nice to meet u KP29. 🙂

Btw, my DS will be in P4 in 2013 and I do remember that he was asked to go to school so that the teacher could 'interview' him back then when he was about to start P1. He later told me that he was asked to read something in English. But I didn't remember my DD doing this \"interview\" this year.

putting aside those GEP centre, seems like majority of the Mainstream schools highest score falling within ... 270 - 279 range

      >=280, a few dark horses (Mainstream schools) gallop right to the front lead are:-

      St Stephen 284

      Rulang 283

Nan Chiau tie with Temasek - 281

      Kuo Chuan Presbyterian 280

next year P1 registration - these few schools will be hot !
      St Stephen produced scholar #2

      #1 scholar is \"Zhuang Yuan\".
how you say #2 or #3 scholar, in Chinese ?
      My mother told me before:

      #2--Bang Yan 榜眼
      #3-- Tan Hua 探花

      Stand to be corrected. 😄

Ha ha same. I also just scolded him last night cos I saw sth not done when I went thru his bag. Guess it's a typical boy behavior. 😉

      Hi pingathot

Mine is in p2 now. I was told p1-2 still quite relax. The big jump wld come in p3. I hv a colleague whose son is in p4 now but she told me her son also doesn’t really hv lotsa homework. I guess it’s dependent on who the teacher is.
