    • RE: I Can Read - Discussion

      Hi,

Is ICR good? Or Mindchamps or Lorna Whiston? Torn between all the various choices. Any parents with feedbacks on these?

      Thanks.

      hi sunshine8

i was considering between icr and mindchamps n decided to choose mindchamps. the assessment done by mindchamps was more of ascertaining the level that my children can join, not how many letters or words my children can recognise, and definitely not about whether my children can read and write etc. i have both children in the program and they are doing well to date in terms of their confidence level and social skills, i also have seen great improvements in terms of word recognition.

    • RE: Comparing Pre-school English Reading and Phonics Enrichment

hi, my 2 kids are currently attending mindchamps reading and writing programme. i realise that mindchamps reading and writing is not listed as 1 of the enrichment programme. we should include in the list.

my elder kid is into the 3rd year of this programme and i have seen great improvements in him in terms of word recognition, reading confidently and not afraid of speaking in public, esp when pple asked questions. so the following year i enrolled my 2nd kid into the programme too.

i also send the kids to pcf kindergarten and the teachers have made similar good comments about their language abilities and confidence as compared to the rest of the children in the pcf class.
