I saw from the 1st package we received from moe..there's a flowchart..to appeal just need to fill up an e-form by 1dec n result by 15dec..just curious what u put for 1st 3 choice..cos normally everyone get 1st or 2nd choice..hardly heard so sueh till 4th choice.

For me I only put in 3choice..as the rest r either too far or girl sch.

Yep probably a wrong strategy on my part to list too many choices...on hindsight should have listed 1 - 2 choice that is.
Saw the process in the yellow form which appears procedural to me not certain if it really helps. Any feedback on past experience on appeal, reasons for appeals would help me alot.

It's not a wrong strategy to put all 4 choices. I called GEB before I put in my choices and understand from them that if we only put 1 or 2 choices and both schools do not have vacancies, then GEB will call us to provide remaining vacancies and let us choose from the list. This list may be worse than the 3rd and 4th choice that you have. Unless you feel that you only want either of the first and second choice and to remain in Mainstream if otherwise, putting in the third and fourth choice is the right way to go. Hi all…i believed all us parents here who hv received the envelope certainly hv the most stressful weekend…instead of celebrating the end of sa2:)

Yep my child was so happy to receive the envelope hugging it fr sch n in the sch bus…happily tell everyone. When we asked him if he sure he wanna join…he’s ans "why not?"

Till last night when i actually forced him to read thru the booklet…n started having cold feet. He voice out the fact of extra social study exam to do, n frens. P3 is the first yr he had made frens…so he treasured his friendship a lot. For others, this maybe a small deal but he was a loner in p1&2 going to recess alone,sit by himself. Then there comes another blow. He also need to change his eng tutor due to timing crash whom he was very fond of. ( this tutor we believed is the key person to help him get thru the selection test).


I also hv my fair share on sch bus concern. Not sure if I’ll be able to find him sch bus. Currently we only hv direct public bus to nanyang…but ny is a popular choice…can i reject this whole thing if even appeal fail to get him in?

I have exactly the same question. I am keen to send DD2 to one of the GEP schools but if we do not get allocated (we stay quite far away from the school), can we reject the posting from GEB and remain in the primary school ?

Hi everyone. It's me again :). I bought assessment books for my DD as a form of revision in Primary school. Is this necessary when she goes to Sec school ? I remember I used to do a lot of 10 years series and I must say they helped. If there is a need to get, what assessment books are suitable for IP ?

Thank you Love Clouds. I heard so much about adaptation and this makes me worried. My DD is hardworking and have done well in Primary School (hopefully for PSLE too) but she’s not independent. I guess this is part of learning and growing up and I hope she will get through her 6 years successfully.
