I find that at home, I am able to draft emails better, plan & design slides for presentation better, think & plan activities better etc.
In ofc, I can't do such bec there are always pple walking around, even if they dont talk to me, they talk to my colleagues and I can get distracted.
I can do ofc work, while preparing a meal or even vacuum my home.

Earplugs or headphones? I've been thinking about getting some, but it can seema bit rude, I think. The guy on the other side of the partition from me has a very loud voice, and is on the phone a lot!

I think a better solution would be to tell him discreetly and politely rather than to wear ear phones.

My ds is currently taking his psle this year and is in the gep program. Frankly I don’t think that it is worth it to let them go through gep. The reason why we decided to let him go through gep at first is because he found main stream work too boring. I should have researched before putting him into gep. Anyway, this is just my opinion, if i’m able to go back in time I probably would not let him go through it. The level of difficulty of the homework and the time they need to spend on the homework. DS is considered above average in his class but has some issues with his temper. As a parent, it is quite hard for us when we see the level of stress they go through.

Looking for a badminton coach that can teach on weekdays for DS. He is currently in the school team and is looking to train privately.

Some CCAs may become useful than others because if your child gets to excel in it, they may be able to rely on their cca to get into their desired schools through DSA.

The quality of maids have been on a decline quite drastically. Not to mention increasing cost. The age of the maids are also one problem. Quite a number are actually much younger than their reported age... :scared:

I'm a big japanese foodie fan. Particularly Sushi I like shinji at raffles hotel ( traditional sushi), hashida sushi(fusion) and tatsuya at goodwood park (best aburi sushi in sg). Worth a try on a special occasion but it's not cheap around 250-500 per pax depending on whic omakase you order. If you are not a sushi lover, it's prob better to try tatsuya and request for more aburi sushi (torched sushi). The aburi sushi practically melts in your mouth. For more affordable sushi, you can go to ryoshi sushi at B1 at liang court opened by two japanese brothers. They serve lots of exotic fish that you probably won't be able to find at sushi tei or Itacho sushi and if I'm not wrong the negitoro sushi is ard $3.50 per two pieces.... Value for money restaurant. :oops:

My Boy had this problem as well, we put him through some counseling and voiced out to the teachers. Fortunately he is in GEP and his studies are still relatively good. If not it will be quite tough to cope considering the amount of stress they go through. I can imagine parents going through this sort of stress if their child is not strong academically and still have to constantly cope with the pressure at school... :scared:
