I think it was an enjoyable night for many of them. Not so for me cos I was late leaving work and had to rush to the sch to look for sashimi, register DD in a hurry, then hunt for a chair for quite a while. I was tired and hot and hungry and DD2 was kicking me non-stop quite hard the whole while. Guess it was all the commotion outside that made her agitated.

Anyway, what's important is that DD1 had her treat of candy floss, got a prize for her lantern (that she was very happy to receive since she likes art) and (according to sashimi since I left after the prize-giving) enjoyed the magic show. šŸ˜„
Oh your DD1 has a lantern for voting? which is that?

      hi every1,

LP PVs outing photo to marina barrage is now out in the LP website. go check it out. there's oso a review of the outing....

Thanks! Here's the link for easy access: http://www.lianhuapri.moe.edu.sg/cos/o.x?c=/wbn/pagetree&func=view&rid=77055

By the way, how do these outings come about? Do the PSG members meet and come up with ideas for holidays? Then, how to decide who gets to go (for the kids) and where do the funds come from? TIA! šŸ™‚

We've yearly outing... all plan for by a sub-committee headed by Head-of-Recreaction. Discussion during meetings... all PSG members can bring their family members... sometime we also invite the P1 or P2 students when we have vacancies. As for the cost... we'll fund our own family... :celebrate:

About PSG activities, I remember sashimi telling me that for one year, they had a basic Korean language course.

I actually went to their website and checked out their PSG application form. Seems like we just choose the activities we can and would like to help out in. What if I tick a lot of the boxes? Will I be asked to help out more often? (This is provided I have the time to join the PSG in the near future.)
Don't worry so much...... still if PVs are needed, our Head-Helping-Hand will check who can help. Usually thru the phone or during meeting time...

Yes basic Korean was taught sometime back... we've \"Kimchi\" making too... \"We the PSG were featured in the Sin-Ming Newspaper. :celebrate:

      For PSG, here's what I gathered from my ds1 (again) recently;
the underlying reason as to why he is resistant to me joining the PSG, besides 'distracting him' (ie he can't clown around knowing that i have eyes all over the school on him šŸ˜‰), he said he doesn't want to be seen as a baby!!!

him: \"NOOOOO....people will think that I am a baby...mummy huggy huggy kissy kissy..\"
me : then why you ask me to carry your bag for you?
him : cos everyone is also doing so.
me : then can i hold your hand too?
him : outside school can. inside school depends. if the school is crowded, then cannot.

See? Have boys is like that one la!

      Wa... so Macho! šŸ˜Ž

Yup 2nd actually better however every child is different.

Actually no stress la... must show them that it'e their responsibility to study and we as parents has our own. SO FAR SO GOOD and he is doing quite well... except chinese.

so can PSG people influence choice of CCAs that school can offer? or can we as parents suggest? seems like besides the niche on Robotics, nothing much is heard about other CCAs...or is it that I am ignorant.

If you have source that can help the school, you're always welcome to share. However, it's up to the school if they want to take it up... & to what i understand it may take some time...

The school's dance clubs are also quite popular... got many GOLD awards too.

now in P4...no much spare time...

P4 really that busy ah? Make me anxious leh. Or is because the boy is in THE Class šŸ˜‰ (no confirmation needed though šŸ˜‰). The last MTP session, I overheard some anxious mummies speculating that the teaching methods in THE Class may be very different from the rest. :!:
So your P1 now is second round, not so stress already, right? šŸ˜‰

unlike outside where i see 6 months of training can really do a lot. So don't wanna waste time...

so did your boy continue Wushu outside?
i just sign my boy up with the community centre. his moves are tofu-newbie type, but he had tried hard and likes the workout. he even told me that when he has mastered the moves, he may want to register for 'talent showcase' in school. šŸ˜‰

He lost interest in it & futher more now in P4...no much spare time... however i wish he has stick on to Wushu.

Sorry didn't know cannot post class here...

As for Wushu... Yup, they had wushu a few yrs back when son is in P1. Also got selection somemore... he join for 2 yrs and i pull him out... from then on... more pull out & eventually stop.

Reason for pulling out is because i felt they are always training for display... and the moves so ... like tofu. After 2 yrs... didn't see any improvement unlike outside where i see 6 months of training can really do a lot. So don't wanna waste time...
