hm... maybe cos 2nd is girl? girls are generally more matured.
Yup 2nd actually better however every child is different.
Actually no stress la... must show them that it'e their responsibility to study and we as parents has our own. SO FAR SO GOOD and he is doing quite well... except chinese.
my boy is having chinese enrichment, so SO FAR SO GOOD.
except his spoken mandarin is still pretty weak.
i understand from this chinese teacher during MTP session that either next yr or P3 will need to start on Chinese compo and that is when the big jump is going to be.
so can PSG people influence choice of CCAs that school can offer? or can we as parents suggest? seems like besides the niche on Robotics, nothing much is heard about other CCAs...or is it that I am ignorant. -

Yup, same here. sashimi was the one who told me that they have ballet but seems like not a niche CCA. He found out before we registered DD at LPS. -

i was 'caught' between Zhenghua and here last year, both distance roughly the same and I chose here cos of Robotics (and single session). i think sashimi did mentioned that if he were to be in my position, he would have chosen Zhenghua, cos Aesthetics is their niche.

hey, i didn't know that they opened an extra class for our kids' batch. so i reckon that maybe this round they reduced the intake so that people may be intimidated at the limited space the school may have left at Phase 2C supp and then flock down to register at Phase 2C? -

The \"wah! only so few places left so sch must be good\" mentality among kiasu parents? -

If you have source that can help the school, you're always welcome to share. However, it's up to the school if they want to take it up... & to what i understand it may take some time...

The school's dance clubs are also quite popular... got many GOLD awards too. -
Allblack:

how about sports? what are the good ones? any idea? TIA. -
jedamum:
Hmm, if DD wants to join dance, I think I'll suggest Fusion or Chinese instead. No point taking ballet since she's been taking ballet outside since 3 or 4.

jedamum, you still trying to influence your DS1 to be more active? From what I hear, he can be rather hard to persuade.
-
About PSG activities, I remember sashimi telling me that for one year, they had a basic Korean language course.
I actually went to their website and checked out their PSG application form. Seems like we just choose the activities we can and would like to help out in. What if I tick a lot of the boxes? Will I be asked to help out more often? (This is provided I have the time to join the PSG in the near future.) -

naa...i think he is as bookwormy as me.

i'm thinking ahead for my ds2; my reservations on choosing this school is the lack of sports niche and band.
nonetheless, if we did end up choosing the same for ds2 (logistics-wise, ds1's persuasion, ds2's insistence cos want to tag along his bro etc etc), we'll have to divert his excess energy to external sporting curriculum...i am thinking along the line of marathon, triathelon for him (i dreaming already :D). he shows the potential, unlike ds1, but at the same time, (i feel) belongs to those type that cannot sit down and study type. -

For PSG, here's what I gathered from my ds1 (again) recently;
the underlying reason as to why he is resistant to me joining the PSG, besides 'distracting him' (ie he can't clown around knowing that i have eyes all over the school on him
), he said he doesn't want to be seen as a baby!!!
him: \"NOOOOO....people will think that I am a baby...mummy huggy huggy kissy kissy..\"
me : then why you ask me to carry your bag for you?
him : cos everyone is also doing so.
me : then can i hold your hand too?
him : outside school can. inside school depends. if the school is crowded, then cannot.
See? Have boys is like that one la!
