I also think it depends on the child…for me, my kids were struggling to improve in English for some time and we tried different tutors/centre with no results (until we found a good tutor through a friend’s recommendation). For Maths, I think it has a lot to do with practice. If you practice more and regularly, then I think it is actually possible to improve and do well.

For young children, I would actually prefer to go somewhere nearby e.g. the resort islands in Malaysia/Thailand/Indonesia so the journey isn’t too long or tiring.

I think it also depends on which Poly cos different polys have different grading systems. Like for example, the daily class participation and project work may have very high weightage for some, so you must participate actively in class

would it not be better to focus on teaching him English and bringing him to the Library to borrow some English books to improve his reading skills first? Just my suggestion

They are heroes in the eyes of the Indonesians because they were special forces soldiers acting on the commands of their superiors but in the eyes of Singapore, they are terrorists. It’s really a matter of perspective.

He is shaming or embarrassing the students when they have done nothing wrong, in fact, I always tell my kids to spend more time double-checking their work. This is simply too much.

anyone attended his tuition class before? how did he conduct his lessons? I’m just curious how he could get away with such lies when he’s not even a grad?
