RE: All About Bullying
JS rolling:
Bullying is not something that should be brushed off. However, kids should not handle the issue themselves. Parents and/or teachers should step in once bullying of any type starts. There should be warning signs that everyone should be aware of. Sadly, bullying is an ongoing epidemic that has yet to be addressed.
Great point. But while I believe that \"bullying\" or whatever you want to call it (teasing, fighting, etc) will always be a part of a kids life...being kids, we should not let it go to the point where physical and emotional pain is inflicted. Even taunting is unacceptable. I feel for those kids who suffer from it. Parents and teachers should always be on the lookout for warning signs in order to prevent this from happening. -

I recently reached out to Christina for an interview. Do have a look if you'd like to read about her experiences, and how you can help your child to cope with this learning difficulty: https://swordsandstationery.com/2017/08/07/interview-with-christina-tan/
Thank you for sharing. I'm sure this will create more awareness on the what's and how's of dyslexia as a learning difficulty. -
RE: Lack of Sleep among S'pore Kids - pls share your views
Thankfully, for my 6-year old twin girls, bedtime stories still work. I rarely finish a book. It’s like pooof…they sleep like the dead for hours. Sometimes they get out of bed in the middle of the night but when they hit the sheets, they’re in deep sleep all over again!

RE: How to keep a marriage strong?
I think this is a cliche question that has no definite answer. I believe trust, respect and communication are important to maintain a solid marriage. Don't let the opinions of other people matter. Instead, trust each other, respect each other and make sure to maintain an open line of communication. But that's just me

RE: How To Bond With My Daughters?
Although my twin girls have different personalities, we all agree on one thing - eating! We love to try out new restaurants and give "professional" reviews like we’re Michelin-starred chefs!

RE: Me Time!
I work from home so my schedule is pretty much flexible. Although I have 6-year old twin girls, my husband and I make it a point to have mini-dates like a simple dinner or a trip to the moviehouse. If there's an opportunity, I go out with fellow moms and/or friends to a salon or have a massage. I think it's best for parents to have time for ourselves and take a break from the chaos in the household
