I'm trying to get my daughter into a popular pri sch that's 3km away from my home. To increase the chances, I'm hoping to register under 2A2 (parents who were ex-students of the school), but as I only attended 2 years of primary school in that school before transferring to another school, do you know if I would still qualify to register under that phase?

From what we understand, even partial stay at a Primary school will give you Phase 2A2 status. Best you call up and check with the school in question.

Yes. U can register under phases 2A2 as long as u can provide your primary school report book. Thi year the phase 2A2 is already over. I'm not sure u are talking about this year or next year.

Really need some expert advice.

My daughter is due to register for P1 in Phase 2C this year. We originally had in mind RMPS which is within 1-2 kim or RVPS which is >2km but looking at the take up rate to-date and the historical records, it seems we will have to ballot for both.

I am thinking of changing my plans to register for Zhangde Primary which is <1>2km to check the no. of applicants on the 3rd day. If the chances is low for >2km. it is better to choose school within 1km.

I added up the number of kids registered as of 2A2 and found it to be 18565. Birth rate for 2003 was 37485....Just hoping that there wont be tough competition for 2C outside 2km! Any views?

history from past year registration showed most of the good school need ballot for within 1km. it is better to choose school within 1km. if u really want to try to go to school outside 2km, then u need to register on the 3rd day. find out the numbers of people register for that school. The scholl will advise u the chance or getting in or straight away ask u to register those school that within 1km.

Yes. consider \"branded\" school (Red swastika School) in bedok but I'm staying at Hougang. I didn't want to give up the chance phase 2A2. worried that phase 2C need to ballot at neighbourhood school.

I managed to register my girl under phase 2A2 but we stay quite far away from the school. around 15 to 20mins drive. not sure is there school bus for my area? should I change school in Dec’09?
