Hi,
Need advice. My DS is from a mainstream neighbourhood school and has distinction in Higher Chinese.
Should she aim high for top school? But worry whether she can cope and can tahan the long travelling time. Her primary school is merely a few minutes walk from home.
She has been considering RGS, NJC or NYGS as her 1st choice. What are the differences between these three schools? If it were you, which school will you choose as first choice and why?
Thank you.
Personally, I came from a mainstream neighbourhood school. Back then, it took anywhere between 45 minutes to an hour by bus from my home to Chinese High (now HCI). Is it worth it? Looking back, I think it is definitely worth it.
People are willing to travel thousands of miles to enter Harvard or Oxford. Stellar institutions are definitely worth it.
And if I had to pick among the three, I’d pick Raffles.
Thanks, we live in the far North and we don’t own a car. She will have to travel by public transport with few transfers.
