Sorry for the misleading sentence. I dont’t stay in punggol on weekdays but we go back on weekends. The house is not rented out and both my husband and my ic are using this punggol address.

1) Register for Punggol Green using my address:
I dont stay there but since the school is within 1km, i may consider. But i also heard that there are many young families in Punggol so balloting has been happening every year. Seats left: 165

2) Register for Holy Innocents
I can use my mil’s address as we have been staying there since birth and we did a SD. The school is within 1km but i understand that it will be pushed down to within 2km coz it is a SD address. Seats left: 47

3) Register for CHIJ OLN:
Within 2km under SD address but no balloting past years for 2C and so fourth. Seats left: 91

We’ve been staying with my MIL at Hougang (1-2km from CHIJ) since marriage but our address on IC is Punggol (our weekend house within 1km from Punggol Green Pri). My MIL has been the main caregiver for my girl since she was born but 2yrs ago she had a stroke. Now she relies on helper to move around. We hope to continue staying with her at her house as we do not prefer sending her to a student care.

1) Do you think chances are high to get in CHIJ OLN if I do PV?

2) Will MOE accept our SD despite my MIL’s physical disability?

3) Should we move back to Punggol to stay on our own and leave my girl at student care in Punggol Green Pri?

I am looking at these 2 schools for my gal:
1) Holy Innocents Pri
2) CHIJ OLN

1) HIPS: Mil add is within 1km but during the 1st year of my girl’s pri. education, the school will be at amk. I have also missed the cutoff date for PV.

2) CHIJ OLN: Mil add is within 1-2km and PV still available.

We are not catholics.

Which school should I focus on?

My daughter has been taken care by my mil since birth as both my husband and I are working fulltime. We have been staying with my mil in Hougang all these while even after we got our own flat when our daughter turned 1yo. Although we changed our nric address to our own flat at Punggol, we have always treated it as our weekend home. Unfortunately my mil had a stroke when my daughter was 3yo and therefore the entire left side of her body was paralysed. She is able to walk around in her house with a walking stick together with her helper.

Everyday after childcare, the helper will fetch my daughter (childcare just a block away) and my mil will be ‘watching’ my daughter when the helper cooks dinner. In this scenerio, should I apply for a pri. sch nearer to her house in Hougang or our ‘weekend’ house in Punggol?
