Hi parents,
Am staying 1-2km from hips. So I will still stand a chance right? My boy goes to P1 in 2018. Higher chance to get in by doing PV? If so, got to apply now? Please advice. Thanks a lot

Moving forward, will HIPS implement into single session for morning?
For PV, what type of services did your render? need any interview pior to PV? -
I think it will still be double session these 2-3years since the school is undergoing upgrading.
Can anyone share more about the school? Like homework load, quality of teachers, whether they set high standards for tests even for p1?
Really would like to hear from parents whose children are/were staying here now as the school does not have open house.
Thank you. -

Heard it will be shifting to the previous ITE in AMK (Ai Tong was there last 2 years)
Was at the school yter, its confirmed next 2 years for Primary 1 & 2 - it will be PM sessions.
Only after they move back then all will be AM sessions. -

MOE said government-aided schools are given more flexibility in their transition timeline as they have to take into account stakeholders’ concerns.
It also said that schools will have their enrolment gradually reduced to ensure that all levels can operate at one session. Additionally, the ministry is working to ensure that there is a full suite of facilities that can cater to the whole student cohort in the respective schools. -

I have ds and dd both in HIPS and both kids like their teachers and classmates. Workload for P1 is not heavy but as they progress through the higher primary (especially P3 onwards), it will get tougher. Both ds and dd have classmates who stayed in Yio Chu Kang travelling all the way to study in HIPS and also classmates who transferred from another school to HIPS. For ds, he adore his Maths teacher as the teacher is very caring and well liked by his students. As for dd, the teachers are included in the class groupchats with the children and what I know is that the teachers will encourage and remind them from time to time and this motivates the students too. I can only say that if the students like their class, they will enjoy school better. Hope this helps.I think it will still be double session these 2-3years since the school is undergoing upgrading.
