      Mummy Lynn:

This year GMPS might not even required any balloting.

As of this morning, out of 129 registered only 93 are SC (mixed of those staying 2km away).

Based on last year PSLE results:
Passed & posted to Sec Sch: 97.5%
      Eligible for Express: 51.7%

      Hello,

I would like to point out that the percentage given above for \"Eligible for Express\" is incorrect. The correct percentage as stated in the school memo is 63.9%.

In phase 2C (for child registered in 2012 for P1 in 2013), balloting is required for PR residing within 1-2 km.

I heard a parent mentioned that he put his daughter in Kumon for tuition. Kumon has a few branches in Singapore. Not sure whether there is one near the school. Maybe you can check it out.

Geylang methodist is unlikely due to space constraints but Kong Hwa planned to do it for next yr

      Thanks for the info...

What I understand from the school memo is that the school (gmps) will eventually convert to single session. An upgrading project is in process. Seems like they have planned to have an additional new building and indoor sports hall. As for when exactly they will convert to single session, I have no idea. Maybe you can call up the school and check. Previously, I heard from a staff that the school has reduced their intake since last year (not sure the exact year) as they are working towards single session. That's why they are not able to take in the same number of students as previously.

      Hi parents

I'm thinking to put my gal in GMPS. Would appreciate any feedback abt the school. Does it have alot of homework? Thanks!
      Hi,

My boy is in GMPS now. He is in P1. I don't see that he has lots of homework. According to my boy, the students usually can complete their assignment in class, which I think is good. However, I notice that they have tests quite frequently, especially for English and Mathematics. So far, I'm happy with the school and I can see that my boy enjoys himself there. I ever asked him whether he would like to change school if given a chance (just to see his reaction), he told me he would like to remain in GMPS. So far, my boy is doing pretty well in school. Therefore, I'm happy that my hubby and I have made the right choice to put him there. It's important that he feels comfortable with it. šŸ˜‚
