      TheAnswer:
The Lancôme absolute range is for wrinkle prevention or other reasons? How much is the whole range? Can you write a review on the absolute range, kanebo emulsion, biotherm plankton essence, Belif's Hungarian Water Essence and Aqua Bomb? Many thanks.

I have tried lots of skin care for the purpose of getting the stubborn fine lines above my eye brows. Under control now but cannot get rid of them.

One \"side effect\" is I have v firm face now. Seems like the higher range skin care is working better on my face than forehead.

I only bought Absolue eye serum, eye cream, liquid foundation and sunblock. Since I purchased more than SGD380 inclusive of an Absolue item at Taka, I can choose the normal gift set or Absolue gift set. Full size for the whole range is too expensive IMO. Why it is so expensive could be attributed to stem cells used in the range.

Tried Sublime Regenerating Oleo-Serum and Precious Cells night cream. Both have very nice scent. However, as I am only mid-30s, it feels too rich to use everyday. Once or twice a week should do the trick.

I read from a Taiwanese magazine that French woman is very particular about the glow on their face. Guess Absolue range is trying to achieve that effect.

Will do review of some other products in the next few days. Had tough nites watching over my son as he was down with fever for the past two nites.

Thanks for your review! How much is it before discount?

I am new to Lancome products
I remembered seeing an ad on papers that Robinsons is selling it at SGD170 with a number of sample sized items. Till this weekend, get SGD20 voucher for every SGD200 purchase of skin care and cosmetics.

Can click on the link to get a 7-day trial from counters. According to FB, Orchard Tangs still has the trial samples.

    • RE: Travel: Taiwan - Taipei

      PTLMum:
My family of 5 is thinking of a 11 days holiday travelling in Taiwan in second week of Dec this year. Can anyone advise which of the hotels in Taipei/other parts of Taiwan has laundry service (either coin operated washer/dryer) or washing machine in the room, like in a service apartment? Otherwise we need to bring an insane amount of clothes for the 11 days! Greatly appreciate your help/advice!

Dandy Hotel Tianjin Branch in Taipei is highly recommended. Walking distance to MRT station and Shin Kong Mitsukoshi. Abt 15min walk to Taipei Main Station above ground. They have washing machines and dryers within the breakfast place for guests to use foc. I merely mentioned that the room smells of cigarette and wonder if I am staying on smoking level, I was told that no smoking in the hotel allowed and they will put an air purifier in my room. When I m back to the hotel, they even gave me a small token. Great service recovery. Small hotel so be sure to book early.

Park City Hotel in Taichung also has washing machines even though I din use it cos stayed there on my last day. Very near to 阿明师太阳饼 which is ard the corner. Walking distance to Miyahara and old Taichung railway station

      Next cosmetics and brushes

Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman, Retractable Kabuki Brush
      http://www.iherb.com/Real-Techniques-by ... rush/55072
I only use retractable brushes as I felt it is more hygienic to keep the dirt away. Really love this brush when applying blusher. The brush is so soft and due to the angle, the surface area is bigger and helps apply blusher faster and more well spread. It's pink and I really like pink.
Apparently you are able to learn some make up application techniques from Samantha on youtube. She is supposed to be a famous make up artist.
Saw this brand in Watsons but still cheaper to buy from iHerb as I am buying other child supplements and Chia seeds.

      EcoTools, Retractable Kabuki Brush
      http://www.iherb.com/EcoTools-Retractab ... rush/36801
This is good too. I use it to powder Guerlain compact all over my face. Very soft brush and typical good quality of Ecotool brushes.

Physician's Formula, Inc., Happy Booster, Glow & Mood Boosting Blush
      http://www.iherb.com/Physician-s-Formul ... -7-g/39498
Tried it out simply because it is pretty and cute. I used it quite often cos the colour is nice and lasting. Another impt point is bcos it is pink!

Physician's Formula, Inc., pH Matchmaker, pH Powered Lip Gloss
      http://www.iherb.com/Physician-s-Formul ... -9-g/41561
This lip gloss is really fun cos the colour changes on the lighting and the pH of your lips. The applicator can light up too.

Hope the above is useful or interesting for you.

If you are new to iHerb, can use coupon code JTW355 for up to $10.00 off your first order.
Or use the following link to enjoy the first time discount:
      http://www.iherb.com?rcode=JTW355
For Singapore, shipping is mostly USD4 depending on the weight.

Let me start with Lancôme Genefique.

Around 5 years ago, I felt that my cheeks were sagging a bit and wanted to take preventive measures. Since Genefique was launched around then, I tried it out and love it since then.

Firstly, it is easily applied and absorbed into skin. Felt smooth after applying on face
Secondly, it doesn’t have a funny smell. Some non-fragrance skincare products have weird smell.
Thirdly, it still serve its intended purpose for so many years. My cheeks have been firm ever since I used Genefique. Lived up to its name of "Youth Activator". Really does help the face to absorb other essence and skin care better.

If airport is selling 20% off retail price, then I would prefer to buy from the following instead:
      - When Metro has 20% storewide sales. If I purchased 2 items of above from Lancôme, it will be direct 20% discount. Not applicable for gift sets though.
      - Robinson sales which provides 10% direct discount. Will also get additional 5% discount from my Robinson card.
      - Isetan Private Sales. 10% rebate vouchers, another 5% rebate vouchers if you use HSBC card and the points will allow you to redeem voucher if you hit the minimum tier.
      - Takashimaya Additional 10% discount sales. DBS Taka Amex cards got additional 6% rebate points to redeem Taka vouchers.

Why I prefer to buy from departmental stores is that they have free gifts for min purchase and they will allow you to accumulate Lancôme points to redeem freebies.

Normally min purchase of around SGD200 will get you a set of sample sized item. They may even give full size items and/or vouchers to offset at around SGD400. Depends on stores from time to time.

As a Lancôme Gold member, they will send mailers to me for additional freebies and privileges compared to normal members. I also like to attend Lancôme parties at departmental stores cos there are door gifts and additional vouchers to offset purchase. If you are lucky, you may win Lancôme products during the lucky draw. I have won twice.

    • RE: Any Chinese Physician to recommend? :)

黄月琴医师 @ EYS clinic Rivervale Mall on Mon, Thur, Sat

@ EYS clinic Nex on Wed

My son is 3.5 year old and went to her since he was 1 year old. Used to cough v v often. However, after 2.5 year of Chinese medication prescribed by her, he doesn’t cough so often nowadays. She is also very patient and gentle to kids. My son’s fave doctor indeed.

Do note that she will be on leave and back next Saturday. However, avoid her first day back or last day before leave. If not you will have to wait v long.

    • RE: wat skincare products r u using?

I use a wide range of products from Lancome, Dior, Biotherm, Kose, Kanebo, Shiseido, Laneige, Belif etc… Recently tried mass market brands like Hada Labo during watsons member sales.

      Top fave: Lancome Genefique
Used this even during my pregnancy. Seldom finish any skincare products that I bought but I have already finished many bottles of Genefique in the past few years.

This year my obsession is with anti-aging. Spent hundreds on the Lancome Absolue range and a bottle of top range Kanebo emulsion. Just wondering if I should write a lengthy review on these products cos I don’t find much reviews online for them.

For hydration, Biotherm’s latest Plankton essence is my top pick. Also love Belif’s Hungarian Water Essence and Aqua Bomb. For Laneige, love their firming sleeping mask better than their water pack. All pretty affordable.

Let me know if you are keen to know more on the products and brands I use…
