    • RE: Shall I appeal to MOE to check PSLE results?

oh, I did apply on the very next day.

Thats great that your son has an affiliated school. Guess what ..my daughter's school has no affiliation ๐Ÿ˜ž
Now we realise what a blunder it was to go after the name and not care about the affiliation at P1 :((((

Ahhhh.. I'm so pained to read your post because it feels that I myself have written this ๐Ÿ˜ž

We are going exactly through the same situation. My daughter came back with 229 ๐Ÿ˜ž From a branded school, a great student and a leader , has won so many awards, has been the executive prefect and most importantly a happy child. I just cannot come to terms with the score. She came with a B in science, which was her strongest subject. Sometimes i feel, could they have missed counting the marks of section B????
I did fill the appeal form for all four subjects ; little hope from what i hear ๐Ÿ˜ž

My school teacher friend claims that in her 20 year career, she hasn't heard of anyone's marks getting changed after reviewing the papers

Hi .... my kid psle cane back as 226.... this cane as a total shock to us.
      1. His subjects besides Chinese is usually 88-96.
      Infact his prelims is 96/91/88/70(Chinese)

      2. His Chinese usually ranges fro 66-70.

      3. His English and science alternate years will be top in the non gep cohort... usually about 95/93 marks..

226 came as a total shock to us. Kids in his class who are worse then him are getting 23/24. Honestly I expected a 24 or 25x. He is not a weak weak, struggling student.

He is from a โ€œbrandedโ€ school. So standard cannot be that crap.

I also made a point to send him to and from psle papers. I know he didnโ€™t blank out and was in good spirit. As he comes in to the car discussing the questions and answers.

I have appealed for all his papers to be reviewed. I cannot reconcile his psle score with his 6 years performance in his school.

Is it possible for a mistake to be made in the marking or recording of points ?
